Playing Sup with a Toxic ADC

I haven't been put into this situation before but I'm curious. Can you get punished if you're playing sup and your ADC is extremely toxic so you support another lane that is willing to take you in the lane?

Just hypothetical I haven't ran from any adc's yet

Well, i just played a game supporting a vayne in mirror match, she died immediatly, comes back to lane and repeats the process. by this time their vayne and morg are both lvl 7, shes lvl 4, im lvl 6. (Shes dead so instead of allowing the tower to last hit i CD'd under the tower) She began flaming me for taking CS (While shes dead, and im under tower not letting tower get last hits) and she ran it down mid once then afk'd. Then my mid laner blamed me for my adc flaming and running it down mid?.... I cant comprehend peoples stupidity sometimes, its just out of my spectrum.

Just mute him and do your job. If supporting a different lane gives you the best chance at winning then do that.

adc: GO TOP LANE YOU GARBAGE TLG;RHJEGFH78GREHVDFKJL. Support: goes top lane adc: [ALL] FF15 MY SUPPORT ABANDONED ME SO TOXIC PLS REPORT

I don't really know what they say when people get really angry. I just stop reading all of the chat. haha

as long as you're supporting a lane there is no problems.

Mute and supp bot until you can roam, then take off. If your tower is already gone....just go. Keep an eye on inner tower though.

I'm an ADC and I hate it when toxic supports leave my lane. My advice is to mute them and do your best to keep them alive. Mids seldom like having to split XP with a support.

more then likely as i saw it people love to wait tell its to late and the people i played with that where bad supports insisted they where fine and refused to goto the lane there duo or party was in.

if i had to take a guess based on my experience yes you will be punished but for severally idk probably not to heavily.

i had about 60 games last i played before this current "break" the first 30 i had 6 your reports got people punished messages and im 100% positive there where 2-4 more atleast the first 30 where so bad. ive heard over and over it was bad luck that those spurts happen sometimes but they arent the rule. everything ive seen suggests that kind of shitty games/teammates is normal. league of legeds is one of the most "toxic" communities isnt a mistake and its one of very few who uses that word to describe such players.

Should it be? I don't know. I have seen people tell their supports to leave their lane so if it is at the request of the ADC, I don't think they can be punished for it.

As a blitz, i always try to help mid. Why should you be the slave of ADC when you can actually help your team.

No it's not punishable. If Nunu can counter jungle then you can leave lane and support elsewhere.

Why not just mute them though? Why is this such a tough thing for people to do??

TrulyBland5/24/2017, 3:48:25 PM1 votes

Depends: Are you leaving the lane just because he's a dick, or because the lane is (due to toxicity) dysfunctional?

I don't think the latter is a problem, the former kind of is. Switching to a less viable tactic that will affect the entire team because a single person is a dick is not something people are going to be happy about. It's not something that is likely to cause trouble in normals (since there are no predefined roles there to begin with), but I can see it being punished in ranked.

I've been a support main for a long time now, and in 4 seasons, I've only ever had an adc be so toxic that I left the lane once. Thankfully, it was close enough to mid-game by that time that when I went mid, the jungler came with me and we turned it into a mid lane "group and push for the turret" fight. The adc kept complaining and flaming, and I probably was reported for it afterwards, but if that's the only thing you ever end up reported for, you aren't going to be punished. It doesn't violate the rules of the game, it's not negative, and you're still trying to actively support your TEAM and win the match.

Simply leaving a lane isn't punishable as long as you are still actively trying to win.

Remember that support singed's ban was for things other than simply roaming, and that his ban was overturned.

Remember that Bard does exist, hence "support must be restrained to bot lane" is not an actual rule.

**keep in mind though, that leaving lane will likely get you reported by at least someone on your team, and it's likely to be your toxic adc. This will flag that particular game for potential review, but if it's not a regular thing and if you weren't a toxic teammate yourself you have nothing to worry about.
