Do My Reports do ANYTHING?

So I literally just had a game in which I played Draven. I like Draven. I decided I wanted to play as him. I think that's fair enough.

Our first pick Lux refused to call anything so we stuck her on support. She then gets hooked and dies to Blitzcrank/Ashe. OK, that's totally fine. It happens. Hooks happen. IMMEDIATELY afterward, she goes "I'M NOT LANING VS BLITZ. IM GOING TOP." and left me to die to Blitz/Ashe over and over and over.

That's circumstantial. Then our top laner, the ever lovely Pantheon, decided to start being just as much of a douche to me. He started using his ult STRICTLY to take my farm. I'm sitting here farming a massive wave going "FINALLY I can get some stacks, maybe cash in on a good ult, maybe i can do somethi-" And then that FUCKING CIRCLE shows up to say "Yeaaaaaaaa no. You're not getting anything today. I know this is bot lane and you've been here for like, 25 seconds already, but I'm gonna troll you with this."

I sat there going "What the fuck dude?! That was mine!" And he responded with "Not anymore man."

K.

I get initiated on by Wukong. So Anivia walls me to my death. I've played a lot of Anivia. I enjoy her immensely and I know that her wall isn't the most reliable thing ever. I was gonna chalk it up to a misclick. Then she started laughing at me asking if I was mad.

...OK

And good old jungle Xin Zhao was laughing the entire time calling our teammates great trolls. Same with the enemy team.

So obviously I reported like...everyone in that game for unsportsmanlike conduct (THANK YOU FOR ADDING THIS REPORT OPTION RIOT)

And now I just wanna know...DO THESE REPORTS EVEN DO ANYTHING?????

I've reported a ton of people in my day and, ya know what? I've gotten NO payoff to show that something was done. From the look of it I get trolled for 20 long minutes, nothing happens to them, and I'm just miserable at the end of the day.

Reports do help to punish the troublemakers, but understand that it takes time for Riot to go through all the reports and figure out which reports are valid and which ones are false. For more information, check here.

P.S. You only receive a notification if it was your report that led to a punishment. If you don't, that doesn't mean that the trolls got off Scott free, it just means that it wasn't your report that ended up shipping out a punishment for that person, that's all.

The reports do something, which in my experience wasn't the case over the last 2 seasons, but now they do now.

Yesterday I got teamed with a Plat Yasuo who got first blooded via a lvl 2 Nunu gank (lol). He proceeded to flame our jungle Khazix for not ganking enemy mid before that, and decided his course of action was to feed intentionally and talk shit for the remainder of the match.

Yas finished the game 0-17, and 9 players reported him after. While in the champion select for my next match maybe one minute later, I received the notification that a player I recently reported was punished by the Tribunal. This is the 3rd or 4th time in the last 2 weeks I've been notified a griefer has been dealt with by the Tribunal almost immediately following a match, so I'm guessing it's working and these people are getting banned.
