Why I think people struggle with the definition of toxicity in league.

Streamers.

Watch any given streamer on any given day at high elo flame their teammates in chat for multiple games a day and go unpunished, I won't name names, but there are plenty.

Now average bronze 3 Joe watches streams trying improve their play because they really like league, only to find when they type "HOW THE FUKC CAN O NE PERS O N BE SO F {CIKN USELESS" receives a 14 day ban, they come to the boards and post their chat logs, and are like "How is this toxic?" and then some one usually responds, "your definition of toxic needs changed", but they see their favorite big name streamers doing it all the time, how could it be bad?

I feel bad for new players to league, and players who are get emotionally invested into games. I have found calmness and laughing at angry people the best way for me to play league (after a few banned accounts...), but I think I understand now why people are confused on the summoner code - it doesn't apply to all players evenly.

Being punished requires being reported. At high elo, most of those players all know each other, and are much less likely to report people they know for toxicity, Public figures like Streamers also get a bit of safety from reports by nature of their notoriety.

I hate how much streamer mentality leaks into lower ranks. No, your silver 4 game isnt unwinnable because you're 1 kill and 1 dragon down, now stop typing ff, get out of the fountain, and play.

I think part of it also is that the streamers are (usually) complaining out loud, not typing out their frustrations. As regular players, we all have the option to yell at the screen all we want. However, when that frustration makes it to the keyboard is when issues arise.

the definintion of toxicity is clear.. .and i support whatever bans ppl get for toxic behaviour.. becuase when you flame a teammate in bronze 4 or iron 1 or whatever ... which pile of poop stinks worse??. who;se dog barks the louder... get the euphemism???

Bad players flaming bad players is toxic. most of the times. good players flaming bad players. . (it;s probably the ugly truth)

i wont condone any toxic behaviour tbh but when you are playing at high elo and you see this attorcities that are commonly made on bronze league ... you kinda get why is toxicity at high levels not punished relatively
