(Riot Read This) War On Toxicity

I am going to attempt and help you guys make a change for the better and continuously post in the necessary discussion boards in an attempt to help people keep their accounts. And this is a blast from the past from season 2 and 3 and a bit of a small change.

So back in season 2 and 3 was your most effective use of the muting option. Those who joined a game and discovered they had toxic teammates could simply hit the mute button, and the mute would follow over into the post-game lobby without the need to right click and mute them again. IDK about you at RIOT but dammit. I hate hitting the mute button and then face flaming and more toxicity in the post-game lobby before being able to right click and hit the mute or block buttons. I am sick of you guys and this muting blocking options with them being as flawed as they can be. I would, for once, like to join a game and if I find out it's a toxic team, to hit one button and block out all of your teams and enemy teams chat and to have it all follow over into the post-game lobby. Kind of like your selection in the interface to turn off cross team chat. You guys may say, "But that defeats the purpose of this being a team game and needing to communicate with your team to win!" I'll tell you this right now. In no way shape or form is dealing with your team flaming and being toxic over 1 bad play worth it over hitting 1 button and muting EVERYONE and having that mute follow over into the post-game lobby. I am sick of hitting mute and having the game end just to be faced with them shit talking, flaming and being as toxic as anyone could ever be in the post-game lobby when EVERYONE KNOWS YOU GUYS CAN DO THIS AND NOT HAVE HITTING THE DAMN MUTE BUTTON NOT FOLLOW OVER AFTER THE GAME. It would change a great deal in the amount of toxic people you see. Checking or unchecking a box to turn off cross team chat and your teams chat. To just be able to join a game and play, regardless if your team is toxic or not, a nice quiet game to join and not be worked up into a toxic frenzy yourself. Because everyone who plays your game knows, this community of yours with it's toxic entirety is a self sustaining entity of flamers constantly growing and feeding it's self because someone reads something they don't like and they go off themselves. Eventually tiring of reading how stupid and arrogant and idiotic some people can be just for the damn sake of being toxic. Take this seriously and you will, I guarantee it, see a huge decrease in toxicity. I hate being badgered game after game by toxic people over 1 simple play just to read how shitty I am and that I need to catch cancer and aids and die of suicide related injuries. FOR SUMMONERS SAKE make this change happen. Make a mute all button and allow the damn mute to follow over into the post-game lobby. Regardless of the fact it's a post game lobby and you can just leave and report them and move on. It goes without saying that people get heated and stress over how toxic some people really can be and that shit carries over into other games progressively getting worse. MAKE THIS DAMN CHANGE. Take a step up and do this one thing, and see what happens. I can say that as a daily player this idea will change a lot. Every game there is a toxic player! Very rarely will you get an entire team that is helpful or friendly, unless it's a complete full premade lobby. I am going to save this whole post with MS Word and re-post this as often as it takes, either daily or weekly until a yes or no for this idea is stated. You guys want to make a better, less stressful and toxic community. Then take this post seriously. WILL RE-POST SOON

imo they have to make a better muting option and to completely stop banning people for chat abuses, giving those chat restrictions instead, up to a permanent chat restriction after a few (5+ imo) temp bans

Why stop banning people for chat abuses? It seems like a pretty good life lesson. If you're going to go around running your mouth at every chance you get, there will eventually be consequences. In LoL's case, the consequences have been laid out pretty clearly.

It's really not Riot's fault they said, "Don't do this", people do it anyway, and then get banned.

because it's a silly reason to deny your paid access to certain goods which you paid for

almost no game permanently bans for chat abuses, and a few ignore such reports whatsoever telling you to use the mute functions instead

It's not a silly reason. Having a bad game, and then having some little snot go off the rails on you, is super annoying. Unfortunately, even when you mute them, their initial responses to you are generally enough to add a frustrating amount of insult to injury.

If it's a silly reason to deny you access to what you paid for, why would you be abusive in chat if you know that the consequences are a ban? Why do so many people have trouble understanding how consequences work?

But that is where this muting all option comes into play. Select it like you would to turn on or off cross team chatting, and just play away without worrying who finds your game play crappy enough to flame and be toxic over.

I'm still pretty sure they will never change this stance, however, because they really don't want people who go haywire in chat. Call it political correctness, or thin skinned people looking for a safe space, or whatever. Thing is, no one likes raging assholes, so if there is a system set up to punish people having temper tantrums over a video game and lashing out at others, I say good; let them get a taste of what happens when you run your mouth because you feel you're bulletproof.

I think you completely missed the intentions of this post. It was a suggestion of having a "MUTE ALL BUTTON AND HAVING THE MUTE FOLLOW OVER INTO THE POST-GAME LOBBY" with an explanation. The fact you reply with this ignorant comment just proves my point about how ignorant people can be with their comments. Add a mute all button and let the mute follow over into the post game lobby like they fucking used to. I'm not the one with tantrums in game and flaming for the hell of it. I'm someone who just wants a mute all button so I don't have read every ones dumb inflammatory responses and to have it follow over, again like they used to, into the post game lobby. People really need to fucking read more. And I know no one forced me to post this. I did it on my own. And no one forced you to sit here and post ignorant comments proving you missed my post and focused on the whole, "Do this so people don't get banned" shit. I just want a mute all button and to have it fucking last instead of canceling out in the end game and allowing the toxic people flame and badger you more.

Absolutely, this idea here, I think, is a huge game changer. And in the long run I think this will save many accounts. I 100% hate, what seems like to me a waste of time, to mute someone or the whole team, just to finish the game and read and deal with all their toxicity in post-game lobbies. It's unnecessary. And I have no idea why they got rid of this feature in the first place. Being able to single out and hit the mute button on a toxic person and have it carry over was a great thing. But between that and being able to select 'Turn Off All Chat' would be a nice add-on. So people can just play games without worrying or stressing over, "Crap I made one bad play! I hope my team doesn't throw and decide to be toxic and flame all game long and post-game lobby over it!" Which sadly, is almost always the case.
