Hey everyone, I am back to bring a problem to someones attention. Or gain some advice.

I have been having issues resolving something that has been happening for over 7 years and had reached out for help in regards many times for help in people threatening me in-game and outside of it. Telling me they are going to bomb my house, slaughter my family, and try their best to cause me harm and find me.

I saw the same player in another match after this happened and nothing had been done to them even though I followed the rules and reported them plus muted them. But then it continued and I had no other option but to up and defend myself because riot was not concerned enough about my positive experience playing the game or physical safety. They have told me that nothing can be done and then proceeded to permanently ban my account.

They have ignored my proof and then proceed to ignore me. They have closed my tickets without answering them, deleted my posts on the boards ( probably this one too ), broke the rules of their own standards ( also have proof ). When I show someone this when working at riot they just instantly don't say anything and everything gets shut down.

If you are concerned about your safety, you should contact your local authorities.

Nothing happened. this went on months ago and I just wish there was a way I could help others who may have been in this situation.

Ummm no. There are other options. Mute report and move on. There are punishments that do not involve straight to permaban. And they don't have anything to do with matchmaking.

Mute, report, and move on has caused players to become more aggressive. So if someone else does it constantly to me and others which I have defended and tried my best to help them from being flamed. Then it is okay for them to do it but as soon as I try to help someone else or myself I get insta banned.

Well then clearly you haven't learned. It's unreasonable to expect player reports to be reviewed within 1 hour or even 24 hours. It took a week for my report to get worked on. As far as I can tell, the toxic people I reported on this account and main all get dealt with.

Doesn't mean it results in a permaban or whatnot and it may take a while, but that's how it should be expected to work.

It was months ago... But right after the game I got banned. But yet all these other people continue to be horrendously toxic

I'm not looking for someone else to get banned but I'm looking for why riot decided to break their own code of conduct in order to harass me

They didn't break their code, you just don't understand how their system works.

Think of the punishment system like a leveling system in an mmorpg. Different monsters (toxicity) are worth different amounts of exp. When one pass a certain threshold, one gets punished.

It is entirely possible that you started a game a 99% exp, but someone started the game at 30% exp. That small toxicity will get you over the 100% exp threshold and get you punished, but the other person who did something waayyyy more severe, it would yield him 50% exp and he still won't get punished cos he's at 80% toxicity after the game.

That is a weird thing if that's the way it is. ( i had to defend myself twice from the same person ). Lets say that person A threw a rock and it accidentally hit a car and they are now at 40% exp. Then if a month later that same person got into a car wreck that yielded them at 90% exp. If person A runs a stop-sign or steps on a bug, then they level up to be banned. But then Person B comes along and kills 2 children giving them a 70% rate exp. Why is person A worse than person B?

I like your explanation but it seems like a weird way of handling things. I defended myself twice in a row which resulted in a permanent ban. While the people doing the crime got away with a free stick of gum.

as for breaking their code I'm talking about past issues that happened years ago, some of them 7 that still went unresolved and the way they have chosen to talk to me in their tickets.

Did you know ... you can edit your posts? Makes things alot easier to read.

But using your examples, killing people will be worth 300% exp. They'll level up 3 times and head straight to 14-day ban instead of getting the 2 chat restrictions prior.

I doubt that things 7 years ago were unresolved. People might have gotten punished and you'll never know about it (due to privacy reasons), or they got up to 90% and then decided they will take it easy on toxicity and their exp decayed.

Keep in mind that in Aug-2015, they changed their punishment policies to the current 4-tier escalating punishment system. Before that, people will just keep accumulating chat restrictions until they reached 1000+ games of chat restrictions.

Did you know that Secondhand smoke causes approximately 7,330 deaths from lung cancer and 33,950 deaths from heart disease each year? Excuse me for not being a grammar enthusiast and due to me typing fast, not caring about wittow spellong mitakes.

If they got banned then why could I see them playing in other matches shortly after, and them sending me links to videos of them and other people in chat on twitch belittling me and being all "look at me".

If I shouldn't know about someones punishment then why does mine get sent directly to them, allowing them to contact me outside of leagues systems to shit in my face some more? 7 years of riot oriented intolerance and not helping me is in-fact, real.

Hard not to believe it when the person said that they have received a notification in their lol client that I got banned. Then proceeded to send me a link of them complaining about me in a video and their cult followers also joining in the fun, reported it to twitch but it got ignored.

I was just wondering when I get to use my time machine I have been keeping in the back of my closet which is collecting dust. Finally I get to use it to go back in time and take screenshots, write down names, and while I am at it, may as well make out with micheal jackson and smoosh a few butterflys.

They were referring to how you post multiple comments in a row in reply to yourself. They mean that you can add that into a comment instead of posting a new comment.

If they got banned then why could I see them playing in other matches shortly after, and them sending me links to videos of them and other people in chat on twitch belittling me and being all "look at me".

Streaming culture sucks ass. You shouldn't have gone to their twitch. That's just how those jerks like to get off. You're better off ignoring them and not giving them the satisfaction.

The thing is though, we aren't entitled to see other people punished. Each person's punishment is based on their own standing and record with the punishment system. Your punishment had nothing to do with them, and theirs had nothing to do with you.

Riot didn't tell the other players about your report or about your punishment. The jerks likely made a lucky guess and are just needling you for their own amusement.

Oh, sorry. I thought they were a grammar nazi here to play pin the tail on the shaky fingers. I have gotten notifications of peoples bans on another account before when someone was being abusive to one of my team-mates. This happened around a year ago or less. There was a notification window that popped up right as I logged in. Two seconds after I have received the ban notification of my own account, he sent me the link and told me that he seen the pop-up as well. What are the odds?

Thank you for your answers, they make sense and are more helpful than riots support people.

I understand, that's why I posted explaining what they probably meant instead. Maybe ease up a little bit? You'll have an easier time if you don't get that worked up by people's replies.

Popups telling you when your report had an impact are random. Sometimes they happen and sometimes they don't. Some idiots think it's funny to get other people banned and then mock them for it. Chances are you ran into someone like that.

Like I said, either they got a feedback notification that their report was effective (which doesn't happen very often) or they made a lucky guess. Either way they're just trying to cause you grief. Behaviorally speaking the only way to make them stop is to stop rewarding their behavior with the reactions they want from you. Don't engage with such people, mute / block them and don't go to any links they send you.

People like the ones on the stream you went to are just dumb garbage people anyways, they're beneath you so you shouldn't concern yourself with what they think.

As for easing up, being nice has only gotten me in second place for 22 years. It's sad that I have to act like a child with a temper tantrum to get my point across. People react to negativity and I am cursed/graced with a disorder that makes me not give a fuck about doing what I need in order to help myself or someone else.

But I do this when it is absolutely necessary.

Maybe they think you're threatening because of how passionately you demanded that action be taken.

I used to think like that too. "Nice guys finish last" was something I believed completely in. But the fact of the matter is that that isn't true. Confident guys finish first. A nice guy who is confident can finish first, and a nice guy with no confidence can finish last.

"Nice guys finish last" is the anthem of dispossessed people who think that being nice entitles them to a relationship or whatever else it is that they want. Kindness is something that should be done out of the goodness of one's own heart, not out of an expectation of the favor being returned.

As for getting your point across with negativity, it sure didn't work with Kei here. All it did was serve to distract you from their points. And put them off your argument. It took way more comments for you to understand one another because being negative and aggressive makes effective communication much more difficult.

I don't believe nor care about the thing that "nice guys finish last" I am my own making and whatever I feel is necessary I will take that action. I do not think I am entitled more or less than anyone else here.

I took into account this kei's person opinions and answered them accordingly. if they did not like it, then that's on them and I don't care what other people think of me. I was not distracted by anyones points and I understand them fully and I think they were helpful, even telling the people here that they are helpful.

"aggressive makes effective communication much more difficult." It sure does make things clear because when things are escalated it just shows what they are truly feeling and thats the most accurate representation of ones self. Whether you like it or not. Not my problem that people can't see through the aggression to see the facts.

It's possible that Riot considers what they did not at the same level as killing two children.

If you are saying that it happened 7 years ago, then the behavioral policies at that time were different. That was the time tribunal was still around and it took forever for people to get punished. There were also no notifications during that time. Even if people got punished, they would just get chat restrictions.

This one happened a couple months ago. I remember the tribunal and it was wonderful. Why not just have a hat and print out usernames on tiny slips of paper for anyone above 0% and get a small child at the dentists office to pick from the hat. "yep that one has bad luck, lets do that one"

Then that means that Riot doesn't consider their toxicity at the same level of killing 2 children (300% exp), but it got them closer to the 100% exp.
