Will the community be better off without a place to discuss behavior?

There weren't that many who really benefited from these forums, were there? Surely, though, there were. Some perhaps merely looked at others, some must have used the search function... some actually asked for and listened to criticism. Some (yours truly) asked questions about behavior, researched what Riot made public, read the ToS and Summoner's Code repeatedly and correlated cases akin to a lawyer.

Most people will surely be fine without something like this forum to offer guidance. One thing I fear may fade, is the biggest advice anyone can easily find through the forums that isn't so common knowledge otherwise:

Just don't chat with anyone you don't like. Use the /mute

I have a lot of other things to say about that, but must admit this is the most important thing that must survive this forum. If nothing else, this should be it. Is this what all these threads should amount to?

Every single PB post was just some brat crying about their amazingly deserved ban, now they can scream into the void as they smash their shitty razer keyboard.

I mean whats the point if you can't even call out the person involved in your case lol...

Player behavior is consisted of only: "why was i banned" and 9.5/10 times it doesn't matter they're gone and there was a reason for their ban.

PB would've been a much more useful resource if you can scout it for potential players to put on block list, but name and shame is a thing so no wonder players don't ever feel punished for trolling.

There's some bans that wouldn't have been lifted by the boards (i remember that taric main saying the N word to his premade and only his premade, and getting banned for it due to a random report from an enemy player unaware he was even saying that. This got appealed through the boards.)

I'm ok with the boards going away if Riot has another easy to find location for their behavioral FAQs that actually gives good answers instead of the kind of dismissive "I understand your chat isn't that bad, but cos you got a 14-day before so now you are permabanned."

Maybe a few? I'd wager 5% of the people who came through here actually changed their ways or learned something in relation to behavior/punishments.

In my opinion, this sub board (like many other aspects of the Boards) was flawed and needed more intricate care given to it. Unfortunately, that just never happened. It's not any one person's fault, shit just happens sometimes.

I agree completely.

Most important takeaway from PB (IMO) is to mute anyone who's giving you a hard time. Don't let insults or petty BS get to you, focus on yourself and ignore the hate.

That's all there is to it.

Such a small percentage of the playerbase uses the forums. It wont affect anything except how I kill time at work.
