Let's be clear: negativity is punishable, no matter how nicely you put it.

Title says it all. Am I wrong?

Edit: Regarding speaking about the state of the match or other players in the match, be it their name, chat, choices, or actions.

For example, "I think there isn't anything we can do to win now."

edit 2: I should have made a poll... I guess I'll do that in Gameplay? Is that kosher, so to say?

Yes you are wrong. I can say "damn i suck" and I will never get punished, unless I spam it, in which case it is the spam that gets me punished, not the negativity.

Crap, I hope riot doesnt discover the time I wrote " I just love the number -43!" My negativity surely will get punished

Yes, you are wrong.

Who gives a fuck if someone is negative. Just mute the fucker. Done. Problem solved.

Actually eliminated problem. Done. Welcome to the fucking internet.

What I can't solve, is that fucker running it down, ruining the game experience for everyone involved, and we're trapped.

I can't solve that winning and losing feel the same lately.

Grow a fucking brain. Negativity isn't a problem, gameplay punishment and matchmaking are a massive problem that can't be solved with a button press.

You are extremely fucking wrong, and no where fucking close to right.

Look further into the issues that plague the game. This thought process that you are attempting to further, is a huge huge huge detriment to the game.

What the fuck has punishing for 'negativity' done for the game? All its done is give the power to the trolls and the rest of us can't say a fucking word about it.

For fucks sake, PLEASE think more.

However, what you said isn't technically wrong. By the rules, yes, negativity is punishable.

The real question should be, is punishing negativity effective at improving the game? Is it even effective at removing negativity? I think an inanimate object would realize that it clearly is not.

We all need to stop giving a fuck about what a stranger thinks about us. You shouldn't give a fuck about what they say. Riot shouldn't moderate anything, then all this shit would become old and no one would care anymore.

Then maybe everything would return to normal. All this attention to flaming and hate speech and whatever bullshit just encourages people to use it to gain attention.

What do you do when kids try to annoy you? If you show annoyance they keep doing it, if you completely ignore them they get bored and stop.

Things that used to be common sense are now rocket science.

Almost every word has multiple meanings/definitions. "Negativity" is one of those. Respectfully saying, "No" is essentially a negative response. This is practically what your thread is about and it is kind of stupid. Everyone except you knows which definition of negativity that Riot is talking about.

"Don't be Negative" is just their politically correct way of saying, "Don't be an asshole".

i think saying "i think there is nothing we can do anymore" isnt toxic. it might be a (realistic) statement. lets just go with an unrealistic moment that still happened. its 7 kills to 53, you got no towers while the enemys got 2 of your inhibs at 24min. also you had a strong early comp that falls of hard late.

i think its save to say that you cant do anything anymore.

If you get reported theres a high chance you get banned. The punish system is so fucked. I report everyone in every lobby im in now to punish any possible person i can. I dont care if they dont deserve punishments i report them anyway.
