I feel like Riot is lenient about *some* backlash towards toxic players.

We've all been there. Some toxic jackass is on your team and you can't take any more. I've told a lot of toxic players to fuck off just before muting them when they're flaming me for having a bad game. However, I think I remember getting one chat restriction back when I had the mindset of "hurr durr i iz gaymr dnt gotta be nise."

Granted, I don't do it THAT often, but if anyone said they've never thrown anything back, I'd say they were lying.

Does this hold any weight, or am I lying to myself? Genuine question. I'm a big boy, and I can take the truth and all, but let's keep it civil please.

I really don't see why RIOT should take sides and say it's okay to rage at players who rage. It just sounds like you want an excuse to justify hating on someone. It's the classic: I only said _ because he said _. I think any leniency you experience is probably from players not reporting toxic behavior as opposed to RIOT not punishing it.

Engaging in toxic behavior and muting them afterwards can also cost you a restriction. Just because they're in the wrong doesn't mean you're in the right for telling them to F*** off because you are also angry. Just don't respond or mute them if they are not communicating properly.

Riot is a complete retard when it comes to chat restrictions and usually restricts the person who argues back over the real toxic player. But overall reporting is a form of "I'm gonna tell my mommy on you!."

i wonder sometimes what the plan is when it comes to curbing toxic attitudes on the fields. A game i played a little bit ago had a nidalee who complain about getting reassigned to mid by the team then complains about the heimer. She sits on base complains more and then feeds seriously i would say she acted childish about it but most children behave better than that. it was bad cause as the support my job is help get my adc fed it shouldn't have to be keeping the enemy zed down till she decides to come off base and pretend shes helping. we ultimately lost that which is sad cause their team had a huge weakness that woulda been more than easy to exploit if not for her.

Valid points guys. Like I said, I don't do it often and honestly, I can't remember the last time I've done it anyways. I have a tendency to think of really weird, and sometimes silly things to talk about late at night/early morning when I haven't slept yet.

That said, I suppose they have leniency to some extent towards everyone (minus maybe that guy who's just really, REALLY out of line) or else they'd be handing out restrictions/bans for 1 valid report on someone, and I don't think I've ever seen a Rioter come by to say someone just said something rude one time in one game if they're saying something about how their ban wasn't fitting. Rather, it's generally something along the lines of quite a few games. I dunno. Silly thread with silly context just because. Sorry for the spam. >_>

There is no leniency, you're just imagining it. You probably just haven't actually been reported enough or have been toxic enough within a short time frame. I'd work on being more careful. :P
