Questions for The Report System?

I've reported so many player. so many trolls. and feeders. gonna throw that out there. but out of all the times I've reported them. ONLY ONE! ONE was punished. how? why? literally just got out of a game where the support Alistar was just trolling and feeding JUST BECAUSE HE WAS ON TILT. Honestly that's not fair at all. His actions were the thing that was trolling not what he was saying. If they're gonna check the chat i understand that for toxic behavior but seriously. If that's all y'all are going to check how are you going to get the trolls? the feeders? who don't type but do sit there do nothing in team fights wait till their team dies and then tosses himself in a 5v1 or a 4v1. i want to know how does Riot manage to catch the troll and feeders who don't type in chat? I've even gotten pictures from alistar typing GG after he refused to team fight and then threw himself into the enemy team alone and even saying that he loves to lose after dying. if you look at the chat all you are going to see is GG and i know yall are going to say well we cant ban him for saying GG in chat, but yet again thats not why he was reported. he was reported for his feeding and trolling actions he was doing. end of rant. but seriously is the chat the only thing thats moderated

ONE was punished

This is answered by the fact that you only receive a notification when your report triggers the punishment. Since it usually takes many reports before a player is punished, not very many people will get that notification but their reports still contribute to it.

is the chat the only thing thats moderated

No, but negative chat is far easier to detect. It's often quite difficult to determine if a player is (for example) intentionally feeding especially if they are in really low elo, but someone using a racial slur is usually easy for the system to notice. Keep reporting those players and your reports will help build a case against them to establish a pattern so the system can tell.

The system is certainly not perfect, and it can't be too strict so as to avoid punishing innocent players, but Riot is always looking to improve it.

There should be an open system for punishment, there would be no shortage of free volunteers who would be willing to spend the time on this forum to review cases of trolling/feeding/chat abuse.
