@Riot Warning to all New & Vet league players that dont know this.

This is a warning to all League players for those who don't know about this already. Please do not use the Mod Skin LOL Professional, It is a program that is highly illegal and can get you banned. The reason being is because it takes skins that have already been made by Riot and lets you use that skin locally. meaning only you can see it but because the skins that it's letting you use are not only copyrighted and changes how you play, I highly recommend you don't. I recently asked Riot support about this and they said it violates the terms of service because of these reasons.

So if you are a person who likes to be able to have custom skins do not use any third party software similar to this. You are risking your account by doing so. Here is more information on the third party guide if you haven't done so before.

Thanks Deep Terror Nami for the article as well I'm go and look it over myself. I had the program I warned about but deleted it when I found out it was illegal due to what was mentioned. I really think that that article you provided will help out other players steer away from risky programs such as those so thanks a lot.

Everyone should know that.. It's messing with LoL files at some point.

But it is impossible to detect... So.. yea.. Yarrr I'm a pirate!

Actually they are able to detect it now due to all the changes and now with the new client and everything. mod skin pro is still illegal due to non custom skins being in there. Also any program that changes or messes with the very important league client files is against the ToS and is a banable offense. for example gamefile.cfg that's illegal to tamper with.

But it is impossible to detect...

If you think it's impossible to detect then you've never looked into it. Date Modified, File Size, Author, Hash, and good old Diff make it pretty easy to identify if a file has been changed, and I'm probably forgetting several.

Not necessarily. Riot doesn't have problems with custom skins so much as people using skins Riot produced without paying for them.

Last I checked Riot didn't have a Coke a Cola Soda Machine Singed skin.

I know of the custom skins being allowed but if their program has any like the one I'm warning about. Then they would be risking things, because any program that has already riot made skins for you to use is deemed punishable.

To the best of my knowledge they've been running for a few years and haven't run into issues. I don't use them myself, but if I was going to pick one they're who I'd go with.

ok but if we like to have some custom skins that are fun to goof around with what would be some sites we could use and tbh ill never use them but this comment is jsut for the people that want them or is custom skins against everything to?

the best thing to get is wooxy its a great program. and custom skins are allowed. they just cant be an exact copy of a already made riot skin so like having a star guardian teemo is fine because there is no such thing as one on league. Here is the link to the site https://mapskins.com/ there is a large variety of custom made stuff on this site. also here is the program that can be used to install custom skins. https://mapskins.com/wooxy/ and as I stated at the top the map, champions,wards and announcer voice files can be messed with but anything else can not be.
