I believe my 14-day ban was erroneously given.

This is the log. I was having conversations with my laner that I would be able to help them live longer if they let me utilize my items abilities, and then I was conversing with two other plays as to why I picked Swain and was using relic shield to help my adc stay sustained. I do not think the IFS penalizes for taking the time to explain game mechanics to another player, nor would I think it would penalize for attempting to keep another player alive by offering advice in a non-yelly non-name calling fashion, nor do i think it would penalize for calling someone foolish, senseless, or a child. But here it is.

In speaking with one of those live chat representatives (who i have been told are rather new) it was explained to me that the main points that were the reason for my ban was calling someone a senseless person and a child. The first definition of idiot says that it is "an utterly foolish or senseless person."

I will provide a brief snippet of the chat with the live support on the matter. I do not believe this 14-day ban was justified with this log, and even less justified when the whole conversation can be seen.

This is ABSOLUTELY an insult.

If you had prior punishments, such as a 10 (or especially a 25) game chat restriction, this could very well push you over, yes. By itself I would not expect it to earn an immediate 14-day ban, but the chat could merit a punishment, which means it can merit a 14-day ban based on your personal punishment history.

This is communication. The player is clearly attempting to negotiate with their lane partners to calm down so that they can keep them alive later.

This part he is clearly talking to a different individual and not Varus. It sounds like some deaths are happening at this point and he is trying to explain to another player that the Varus isn't letting him keep them alive. That'd be like if you were Soraka and the adc wasn't letting you heal them, basically inting.

This sounds like LuluTopSionMid is being harassed by someone and is attempting to defend themselves using logical argument, which almost always gets the mild mannered player in trouble. Looks like they are being insulted by players, probably something like "your pick is dumb and you're dumb," hence the "you are just insulting."

There is an article in the Riot Support section that would adequately show that being tough on your allies isn't the same as something that would warrant a penalty, this looks like a very unjustified ban.

Honestly, at this point it would be really nice for a Riot staff to add their comments to this. I want to know from a higher up Riot staff who deals with player behavior and ban over turnings.

it seems like there is some secret chat limit where if you go over X lines then it becomes punishable. im not sure about it yet, but it seems like it could be a thing

Taking the time to explain something to other players because they asked a question is not arguing, it is communication. Why did you do this? Because X Y Z. Well why did you do that? Cuz X Y Z. What good is that? Reason reason explanation. Having a long conversation in a game to explain yourself to others is one of nicest thing someone can do to help other players who dont understand the game as well to become more enlightened of the varying mechanics of it.

Thats all I have to say on it. Communication, not argument.

Jesus Christ man, you type more in a single game than many people's whole 3 games report card.

By the looks of this ban, it seems it is more of an escalated punishment. Or was this your first punishment?
