Why on Earth does this community revel in every little power trip it gets? Why did I just have to play a 25 min 4v5 when 3 of the 4 remaining players on my team wanted to just do an open mid. What is so great about roaming around the map as a goon squad ganking people when you get a free win in normals? Of the last 10 4v5s that I've played (in the last 6 weeks) only 1 of them resulted in a proper open-mid; and that was the 1 time I was on the 5 end and I convinced our team to not be jerks and group push when the enemy asked us to open-mid. EVERY SINGLE OTHER ONE is just hurr durr, you mad? sound mad. must be mad. if only you were better. 4v5 ez pz. come fight me. what's wrong brah. 1v1 me while akali watches.

WTF is wrong with this community? Why is behavior like this the overwhelming norm? Why in God's name are we not allowed to leave 4v5 normals? It's been 6 years Riot, this problem has existed for 6 whole years and I still have to subject myself to a bunch of power tripping middle school kids for 15+ minutes when I would much rather be doing anything else.

The upcoming remake-vote feature is not going to help when someone rage quits at 2 min in because they gave up first blood. Queue'ing up should not be a contractual agreement of self masochism until Riot says you've done your time.

Players in my rank don't even know what "open mid" is, much less why you'd want to do it (on either end)....

That's the price Riot pays when they let the community decide what the standards are. The "community" gets to decide that afking is ok if you gave first blood and Riot will support what the community decide they want to see.

Reading this I got to relive the game, starting off conversational, then the rage quit, then the denial to open-mid, then the 25 minutes of being bad mouthed while I lose my patience. So what does Riot want in this situation; because I have a sneaking suspicion it's "shut up and play the 4v5 with the kids". Sorry Riot but I've put up with too much shit in life and value my free time too much to do that. I refuse, I 100% refuse to believe that only 5% of your ACTIVE USERS are negative enough to incur chat restrictions. These cherry-picked stats (the only way that number is even remotely possible is if you include every account ever made on a world-wide scale) are just insulting.
