The Season 5 Peek

Has anyone else noticed this game went downhill from season 5. Season 5 the game peeked and I started at the end of Season 3 and it used to be so much fun. Ever since then it's went downhill.

-Removed Tribunal -Trash ban system -Afks/trolls/inters/feeders are allowed to do whatever they want -You get banned for playing off meta (singed support) -Balance Team ignores the player base and balances around LCS -Rework team ignores player base -Rito doesn't care about the players and cares about the money, effectively killing their game -The fact that this post is gonna get an extreme amount of downvotes for pointing out the obvious truths that no player wants to admit. -The flawed matchmaking system -Every game is a stomp -Every game is nowhere close to a hard tough game that shows off the skill of the players and increases skill. Just stomp or get stomped.

-Removed Tribunal

The new system is faster and more consistent

-Trash ban system

The ban system is the exact same as it was in Tribunal days - except players are punished within minutes after a bad game, instead of days/weeks later

-Afks/trolls/inters/feeders are allowed to do whatever they want

This is untrue.

-You get banned for playing off meta (singed support)

That ban was reversed and they improved their systems and policies so that sort of thing doesn't happen again

-Balance Team ignores the player base and balances around LCS -Rework team ignores player base

Take a look at Red Tracker and tell me they ignore us and don't listen to us.

-Rito doesn't care about the players and cares about the money, effectively killing their game

People have been saying this since 2011-2012 and it's still around.

-The fact that this post is gonna get an extreme amount of downvotes for pointing out the obvious truths that no player wants to admit.

The post will get downvotes because it has no substance worth discussing. The voting system is used to elevate well written posts and de-elevate posts that are little more than bitching.

-The flawed matchmaking system

How is it flawed? Just because you aren't challenger?

-Every game is a stomp -Every game is nowhere close to a hard tough game that shows off the skill of the players and increases skill. Just stomp or get stomped.

Maybe if you don't give up games early you wouldn't get stomped. Focus on your team, not on yourself.

LMAO Back in season 3-5 every game I played in someone was getting stomped. Season 5 had the devourer meta, with new champions dominating every game. Season 4 was a yasuo release and sion relaunch. season 3 was when you could solo carry as long as you got fed off a bad laner. Not only are those just some of the issues with the game, but the negativity of the game was WAY worse back than, players would intent left and right, afking was common place when most players had to play on 100 ping at best, upwards of 110 on average. Than there was the scripting back than, which was barely punished at the time due to riots lack of detection, boosting was more rampant than it is today. Also there was no ff at 15, no IFS, no just promoted protection, no instant way for riot to fix minor bugs and issues that released with patches.

Also I guess you forgot about the pick order of draft, where last pick was always support and people would just run it down mid if they didn't get the role they demanded.

Okay, I'm going to try to address all these, even the parts that are probably better suited for another board. I'll do this just once (the digression, that is), so, if I get a small slap from the Moderator(s), I'll be fine with it.

  • The Tribunal: The Tribunal was iceboxed indefinitely because it was too slow and inefficient to actually serve as a punishment system. Between players having to be incentivized to do it in the first place, they also had to remove the incentives to try and keep people honest instead of just clicking "punish" for the IP, and even still, most punishments were issued months after the offense itself occurred. The Tribunal was fun, but that sure as shit doesn't mean it was good.
  • The IFS: I'm going to guess that you're calling it "trash" solely because you disagree with the rules about negativity. The IFS is really good, and it's a godsend compared to the Tribunal. It isn't perfect, but Riot's been slowly-but-surely honing it and adjusting it to ensure players who disregard the rules get punished quickly. So, lemme ask you; would you prefer hardly anybody get banned in a timely manner, or would you prefer rulebreakers get their just desserts ASAP?
  • Gameplay Toxicity: No. Unless you have solid evidence to back this up, no. It's been stated several times, gameplay toxicity is much harder to catch than chat toxicity. If you have some sort of fool-proof way to catch trolls and intentional feeders, you had best tell Riot about it. (but, IMO, I doubt you do - we, as players, are pretty unreasonable when it comes to negative experiences. Some things we might consider trolling actually aren't, and so on.)
  • Off-Meta Bans: Doesn't happen. You can play off-meta anything you want, you won't get punished for it as long as you're playing to win.
  • Balance Around LCS: Simply put: no. The balance team balances around both low-skill and high-skill players. Some Champions (Kalista, Ryze, Azir) are perpetually stuck in "LCS balance", but virtually every other Champion is balanced around the middle-ground.
  • VGUs: Is this about the whole Frostblade Irelia kerfuffle? Honestly, that's the only thing I could imagine would relate to this, because so much of everything in the recent VGUs has been spot on.
  • Riot Money-Grubbing: Prove it.
  • Downvotes: I see more opinions in your post than truths.
  • Matchmaking: That it's flawed is of no question. Everything is flawed in some way, but how flawed it is is up for debate. In another board, of course, Player Behavior isn't about matchmaking, after all.
  • Steamroll Games: Maybe at your MMR they are, but, I rarely get a stomp match. They're more like even struggles, and I seldom find a match where there's no opportunity to bounce back.
  • Skill Games: Again, your only coming from your own perspective. I get to express my skill more than frequently in my matches.
