Festival of Permabans Can Riot fix the problem?

I'm just asking myself, is this a team video game? I think it is right? So If I play bad or such, I might get told by my team that I didn't do good right? I'm wondering why riot is trying to ban any negative person in their whole community. There seems to be a really high increase in permabans since the automatic queue as been in function. Riot needs to start respecting the involvement of their player, some are now loosing years of account work and a lot of $$$. I can see how some people being racial or being harassing can deserve the treatment, but many people have shown log where they got permabanned for almost no reasons, reasons not any other game would ban someone for.

My question is this: Isn't the system made in place to encourage a better behavior of players? It seems that once you received a 14 day ban, no matter how good you try to improve your behavior, any reports for even a slight negativity will lead you to a ban. Their system must let players a real way to improve. Talking about experience, when you receive a 14 day ban, nothing really tells you what you did wrong. Yes for sure you can see chat logs, but what in those logs were the reason you got banned?

Nobody explains you : was it because you asked the people to report a troll? was it because you said GG in middle of a 0 / 20 game? was it because you used words like, shit? bad?horrible? You take any of these and it may or may not be the reason why you got banned. I don't see how saying GG at the middle of a lost game, with maybe 1 or even 2 afk in it, or saying to a intentional feeder that he played poorly this game is a reportable thing (not a 0/5 guy, someone that shows intentional behavior because let's see, someone said he was bad, then he's playing bad intentional, happens often).

From there, I get it that it isn't the perfect behavior, but it isn't usually a good reason to ban people. If someone then takes his 14 day ban in consideration, tries to think about it, even ask riot about it (they will answer an automatic message with not a single helpful comment) and makes changes to is behavior, why would you permaban him for the slight negativity, he probably toned it down a lot from the 14 day ban but riot won't care because they won't check, chats are taken out of context and the system is automatic? Everybody get negative and bored when playing with intentional feeders and trolls for over 20mins, sometimes twice in a row, but I don't see why people should get banned for even using the chat when this happens.

If riot says it's only the 0.0006% of the player that get permabanned, why won't they really check it out? They will probably see that most of these player are trying to reform and improve, probably already improved enough for an acceptable behavior. They need to stop the automatic permabans.

Am I just crazy or this permaban festival is starting to be a huge fail on riot part?

Don't flame, don't allow people to bait you, and you'll NEVER be punished. Working as designed. /endthread.

It is not letting people know that they did bad that gets people in trouble it is how they let them know.

Players are not punching bags for people to vent their frustrations on.

By the time someone gets a 14 day ban they are already a frequent or very severe offender. At that point improvement is just not enough. Less negative is still negative.

I'm not really sure what more they can reasonably be expected to do other than give people the chat logs. If someone can't see the negativity in them then there probably isn't much hope for them. They could direct people to this forum to get more clarity I guess.

You are given a reason for the ban and there are ways, like this section of the forums to get bethere insight. People are often just more interested in finding excuses.

Improvement is novel but is insufficient if at the end of the day you are still in the red. If a guy goes to jail for robbing three banks you don't forgive him robbing a gas station when he gets out because he improved.

They aren't getting banned for "using chat". They are getting banned for perpetuating the situation. Everyone in the game is already dealing with the same thing you are frustrated with. You raging just becomes another thing they have to deal with.

If you think there was a mistake you can submit a support ticket and get riot to look at it. People disagreeing about what should constitute a punishment does not make it a mistake though.

Rage never makes a situation better. You mentioned trolls several times. What does raging at a troll accomplish? Nothing. The troll wants to make you mad so raging at them is just tossing him a treat for his efforts. It's like feeding a stray cat and then complaining that it hangs around your house. Mute, play the game out as best you can and report at the end. Anything more and you are making the problem worse, not better.

There are tons of people getting banned right now. And as u said if you get a 14 day suspension might as well start making a new account because if you say ANYTHING afterwards and get reported you will be perma banned and Rito will do nothing. I've gotten a 14 day suspension for having 4 lines of chat in only ONE game in which i jokingly called someone a "moron". ONLY negative thing i said all game. got the suspension....looked at chat log. was only from that ONE single game. the system is broken.

The reason, all these kids need their safe places because the world is filled with rainbows, unicorns, and everything will be easy. Oh wait nvrmd, lol. Would seem that the "mute" function that keeps these children's precious minds safe is to hard for them to click.

You are right, but have you not ever had a day with like a 10 lose streak, mostly because of your teammates? This lovely time when you report someone for intentional feeding and they match you 3 games in a row with the same person, only 1h30 of your day spent with someone you dislike and that troll a chat so that everyone is getting negative, both teams. You should behave and say, ... well i don't even know what you should say when this happens, yes you should mute and not talk, will it always happens, nah sometimes you'll defend yourself... so what? as long as I know these people are still playing and acted, and chat way worst then I ever did. There is those time when you also try to give hint to people because they are 0/ something and they just start tilting you and all chat making the other team want to report you for no reason. You can't expect someone to be 100% positive, I'm sorry
