I just wonder - what drives people to be so personal and aggressively toxic over a video game? I mean, if you are bad mannered and tilted, you might say something like "f you" or what ever, but this? No complaint from my side, just wondering what's up with these people. In this specific case, I did not even have interactions with that player which would be worth mentioning. oO
Because some people make League of Legends their whole life. They make it the only thing that has any fun or meaning to them and when this happens, if you play poorly, play a frustrating champion, or stomp them hard enough, they will feel as though you are ruining their life and take out their pent up anger on you.
I'm just going to assume that all of the mindlessly toxic people didn't have the BEST childhood
I played Janna support with a Quinn and he/she was super toxic and telling everyone how much they sucked when he/she was feeding. ._.
Hypocrisy at its finest..
It's understandable. It's because they don't know you, you have no relationship, none outside of this game's match. And in a competitive environment, emotions run high and they may get frustrated when things don't work out, annoyed when they can't achieve what they want, and angered if made to feel they are helpless to do anything about it. So where other people's performance impacts other, they may get frustrated because they want to win and may engage with their frustration with others and they may especially do so if they feel that others are not doing their fair share, holding up their end of the bargain.
