Why does getting a single punishment instantly reset your honour level?

Just wondering ^^

I was honour level 4, got in a bit of a fight in one game, resulting in a chat restriction, but also compeltely resetting my honour level to 1.

I don't mind the chat restriction that much, I mean I absolutely deserved that after that game, but instantly dropping 3 honour levels seems a bit much for one bad game.

The reason a punishment resets your honor is being if you are toxic enough that you are punished, you are not being an honorable community member. Part of being honorable is following the Summoner's Code, and to get punished you have to not be following it.

The system makes it terrifying to chat. I have been at honor 2 checkpoint 3 for a long time.

The problem is that there is a huge age range for this game. What is socially acceptable to say to a 21 year old is not socially acceptable to say to a 5 year old. Unfortunately, the system is designed with the mindset that we are all 5.

I do think it might be beneficial to have a proper warning tier or have the first chat restriction not remove honor. If people reform quickly or get removed quickly, im fine with having the first one be less punitive. But anything that gets an instant 14 day and after the first, should definitely drop.

This happened to me too because I kept bugging my team to FF and stfu. I should've just gotten a warning instead of my honor stripped. Sorry that I fell into an argument with people who were spamming my chat that it was my fault they were losing even though they were inting Riot. Makes no sense. It's really unfair for just one simple slip up and now it's going to take months to get it back up. Seriously? Imaqtpie had to beg people to honor him just so he could get honor 2 back in 3 months. The punishment is absolutely unfair especially to people who rarely ever slip up except for one game. Just one game. That's all it takes. The honor system is flawed and unbalanced and so is their banning system. I had people inting and griefing in my chat before I did and I was the only one that got the blame. This game is unbalanced and flawed. Argue and try to prove me wrong and change my mind all you want, but I honestly won't believe it. I should've just gotten my chat ban and now I have to take so long to get my honor back? My girlfriend barely got her honor 2 back. It took her MONTHS to get it back. Why is it like that? Why do you make it so hard for people? It's ridiculous.
