Literally haven't afked in months, but the one time I have to leave a normal game I get low priority queue with the max penalty of 20 minutes for 5 games? Why doesn't this timer ever reset down to 5 minutes? Shouldn't there be some sort of redemption aspect to this?
I've been playing since beta, and recently experienced the low priority queue. There is no consolation for the server preventing you from connecting. I apparently got a bad update on Wednesday and kept getting disconnected. I tried to repair the problem, but 3 games were disconnected, which, I blamed on riot. There is nothing wrong with my computer, or my internet, but riot's course of action is to blame the user, when I have no history ever of leaving. Its sad that they have done this, and makes the game less interesting. I ended up reloading the entire game, which btw, fixed the problem. Now i'm in low priority queue for the first time ever.
pretty terrible, rito. What if it's 50 - 0 and i prefer the idea of just going to bed rather than letting the enemy team drag the game out? clearly I deserve to suffer. Tbh I'll just spend my time trolling if being a nice person gets me in low pri anyway.
I would fully support a quicker reset back to usual - I have slow internet and I never find out when it runs out until my ping is 300 and I can't do anything about it in the game and someone reports me. I would suggest a max of 10 minutes for 5 times and the possibility of forcing you back a level. I play professional chess and the online servers do a forceable point (ELO) loss when you've quit games too many times - seems like a fair trade as this would also require you to play lots of games and gain a reputation back without the extreme punishment of forcing you to wait even longer and use up internet data in the process, ultimately leading to a Catch-22 in my case of data loss.
Haven't been playing for a year and now I have to wait 20 min before each game. This sux Riot! Prolly will move on to another game then.
This LeaveBuster is a good idea, but when you are in the Low Priority Queue you should only have to do it 5 times then they should throw you back in the pit with the regulars, this month wait to wait in Priority Queue crap isn't fair. Seriously!!

I think it is ridiculous that I get punished for being "afk" in the loading screen, when the team has the option to remake now. Since they are able to remake I shouldn't get LPQ for not loading in... If I were to afk inside the game and make the team lose like that than that's different.
I'm having the same issue too, I had the LPQ max penalty since season 5, and i don't know what to do now...
It does, but it goes down with games played not time. There is actually a notification when your status improves.
this is weird it tells me that my ping is 88 and it keep lagging and I disconnect and a get this annoying leaverbuster I-I don't know whats happening my ping is good and my FPS is good but I keep lagging and I got leaverbuster till I got to 20 mins WHY?

so i just got placed into a low que after having a littleral power surge happen and when i come back afters its fix i get banned for something out of my control ?
This is the biggest b.s. ever. I understand a 5 min que or a 10 min que but 5 games at a 20 min que is an hour and a half of que times plus each game being a minimum of 20 mins just makes it 3 hours to play 5 matches. That's insane. I got 5 20 mins game que for disconnecting when my modem got unplugged came back in the game when it reboot won the game and still got lpq what a joke of a company
bro i got a 20 min ban in a queue and then got another 10 mins added to my ban
good job league of legend you have failed all these people by trying to punish instead of rewarding
so after 5 games the afk goes away
i know for sure that i had it at 10m....later i changed to eu west.. and then it was back to 5m! witch is pretty cool but expsensive AF.
i have played attest 3 games a day longer than 30 mins and after 2 months of this i leave 1 game and im in 20 mins of low priority why hasn't it changed
i dont think this timer ever resets.. i love the idea of punishing afks.. but seriously i play a Lot... and very occasionally RL hits me (like rare.. like once a couple of months, and i end up afking.. and this timer never seems to reset.. now i am at a 20 minute timer and i cant even remember when the last time this happened..
I lovee the idea of the timers.. but there really needs to be a time limit.. and a reset on it for when you accidentlally are afk..
The 5 minute time is only for the first and second time. The only reason it's that short is to serve as a warning for people that don't know that going AFK is against the rules. After that, you've been told and receive the full punishment.

It does reset.
Had some trouble in late August near the end of Burning Tides. Seems within a week my timer had shot up from 0 to 20 mins. It took me 2 months, til around in October for Leaver Level (even with no queue wait times) to officially go down to level 3.
Eventually it will go down to 0, but if you've already inadvertently left games, it's very easy to go up to the next level.
Prior to this, Leaverbuster had never effected me in the 4 years I've been playing.
5-20 minute wait before queueing I can understand, but the low priority queue sucks. I'm at 45 minute queue time now...

Wow... so I just got a laptop to play on it's been at least a year and I couldn't find a match gave me 20 min que saying I was in low priority I thought my client was messed up I deleted 3 times and downloaded and updated the client 3 freaking times and I googled everywhere until I saw on here I just have to play it out till it goes back down to normal omfgggg been a year since I signed on fml !!!! Lol thanks guys I know the answer why I couldn't play I just thought while in those 20 mins it was searching for a match omgggg fml fml cant wait to play 10 mins left hehe.
