With the addition of the new rewards for honor and the updated system, I am super excited to get out there and earn my new borders and emotes(hopefully that wicked twitch skin?). But I really want to know what is going to happen to the thousands of honors i have already received. Nothing? No reward for years of honor? You are better than this Riot. [zombie-brand-clap]

They're going away because this is a total system overhaul. Think of this like a Galio-level champ rework, just for a system instead.
