Question about Leaving.

I just had a game, where I was the only one on the team not queued up with the others. So 4 friends and I. Thought it was going to be a regular game of Late night league where I couldnt sleep so mightve well practice and just work on some champions. Got into game 0-6 in 3-4 mins. Im like maybe my team is just not doing so hot. It happens. Realized it was Cait top against camille and leona/taric bot against jhin and his support. I realized maybe theyre trying something out. Oh well happens. So i asked a dumb question about why caitlyn top, just me being curious. She told me. Her and the rest of the team (but me) was memeing not caring etc etc. I got into a discussion about about the 5th "random" on their team and she said she didnt care, rough suck it up. Oh well. I asked if she was going to meme next time tell the person in champion select so they had an option to leave before game and take the 6 min dodge penitently. She straight up said. Nope I wont, Rough to be the 5th person. I exceeded to say, well. Im going to leave, I can do other things with my time and willing to wait the leaver buster or whatever. Knowing that she and her friends were going to refuse the surrendering vote (4 of them 1 of me) so i left. Will i be penalized for leaving a game where they fed and trolling the random on their team(s) because i refuse to sit in a game for 30 mins minimum for the nexus to break. They said 4 of them will report if I leave so threatening me to stay.. So I said Goodnight sweat dreams and have a wonderful night to the enemy team. Stating I was leaving because I cant waste my time in a game where I was refuse to leave till nexus breaks. Note: all lanes fed (even jungle) like 1-14 or something (i had only kill mid and doing decently even better than i thought I would).

Sorry for long story, late night drabbling. What would you guys do and did I do the right thing? :) Thanks!

So you left a game in which you played 10mins+ because someone said they are memeing or whatever that supposes to mean. What if they didnt said anything , you would keep playing? >.< + you saw their roles and champions in champ select. This is actually YOU problem. About are ypu gonna get punished. If you havent left a game yet, you wont. You just have to fill a blank that says you understand how leaving works etc... After that you will get 5min queue time after game and it goes up...

Man you gotta report people like that. Its one thing to try silly stuff or make a goofy pick (lord knows I used to main Duo top Shen/Sejuani with a friend. Dont laugh, it works!).... but if you aren't trying to win or be part of the team you should go play a different game.

I leave games regularly. I left probably 15 games this week already due to teams not wanting to surrender lost games. I haven't gotten a single LeaveBuster. You have to think of it like banking. You "bank" towards immunity to LeaveBuster with every game where you don't leave. This allows you to safely leave games only when you feel it absolutely necessary. If I were to get a feeding shit ass team that runs it down every 30 seconds and I leave that game, I won't leave again until I have played at least 7 or 8 games where I don't leave.

There is also another trick I use where if I'm successful, I can leave games infinitely without punishment. Basically, you take the pulse of the game to determine just how long your team can last. If you're certain your team cannot last another 3-5 minutes, you can safely leave this game. If a game ends too soon after you have left, you would not be flagged as a leaver. As far as the system knows, you didn't leave this game. 80% of the games I leave are under this circumstance which is why I can leave so many.

One last thing, if you intend to leave a game, be sure not to be too chatty. You can say as much toxic shit as you want as long as no one reports you but when you leave a game, you can be damn sure someone will report you and if you said some bad shit, you will get punished for that, even if you were only reported for leaving.
