Do you ever keep people hostage in Normals?

Guess I just want to know why.

I've encountered this a couple of times, especially when I play badly. Ok, I get it, I ruined your game by picking Azir/Zed/Riven/Lee even though I'm Gold. But now we're 4/20 and well it's over.

But what exactly does one look to gain by doing this? Am I being baited into raging or leaving the game? Are you looking do see me feed more so you can report me for inting? Are you just petty or something?

Guess I just want to know why.

I am there to practice, I don't care to win or lose, that is for ranked. If you suck really bad I will never surrender as you need practice...and I enjoy the challenge attempting to carry you.

some people can only play one game a day tho, so they rather spend more time inside to get more exp than ff at 15/20

really its a toss up between two reasons why i dont ff. 1 im playing gangplank and if i stall the gameout long enough i simply win. 2 you are a terrible person, you flame and blame everyone else, you expect everyone to treat you like a god. I WILL KEEP YOU IN THAT GAME FOR AS LONG AS I CAN. because you are nothing more then me, you are a player just like me and i will hold you there for as long as im able.

Do you think you get to get off so easily after feeding >:) Lets just make sure you learn by playing the rest of the game.

On the real, some people just don't see ffing as a option and that is their problem.

Since I don't know what exactly you mean with "holding people hostage", I'm going to answer the two things you might mean:

Why do people vote to not surrender "lost" games?

Some people simply don't find losing to be that much of a hindrance when it comes to having fun with playing the game. Others like the challenge of playing while behind; or simply want to practice under such extreme circumstances.

Why do people spite others by intentionally not surrendering a game they may no longer enjoy, just because another teammate also doesn't enjoy it?

Some people are assholes.

When I have a 60min window where I know I can play 1 game, and i know if I surrender it's over and there's not enough time left for me to play another, I'm not going to surrender, I'm going to try to win and enjoy the rest of the game.

Also, if someone is extremely toxic and then decides to try to surrender, I'm voting No just to make him stay/waste his time/ whatever. [slayer-jinx-catface]

I like to think that I don't hold people "hostage". Usually.

I will vote No Surrender if I feel like myself/team have the ability to make a comeback. Sometimes that depends on team comps and scaling, sometimes there's just a synergy I feel with a teammate(s) that makes me hopeful.

I'll vote No if I'm personally having fun, which often coincides with me playing farely well and potentially carrying the game.

But if someone dies twice in the first 5 minutes and then proceeds to troll and spam ff than yes, I may hold them hostage >:)

I've seen a lot of people do it as punishment. 'I just want to play this champ', 'this is my last game' and 'I think we can win' are pretty common and legitimate reasons to not FF. But then there's the 1/12 dude that's mad he didn't get jungle camping his lane for him.

hhaavviikk1/9/2018, 9:03:58 PM1 votes

no because unless I'm standing next to them with a gun threatening them to stay in the game it's impossible to keep anyone hostage in the game

MachstDuBierHase1/9/2018, 9:37:59 PM1 votes

IF they are really bad - yes I am arrogant enough to decide for myself if they intentionally feed, troll and just ruin the overall experience and the game is definitly lost, I try to drag it on as long as I can BECAUSE in my personal opinion I AM PROTECTING other players by delaying them to matchmake into a new game.

Because I don't feel like going into a new game.
