I'm getting every other game having a drunk guy or a holiday feeder right now. I'm having an ally literally say to the enemy team "I'M INTENTIONALLY FEEDING HAVE FUN" and the enemy team just laughs and jokes with the feeder and has a grand ole' time. Meanwhile IFS hasn't caught him and he's on his 15th game so far doing it. He builds the right items, so I guess he's off the radar even when ulting in a nexus fountain. (Pantheon.)

and I didn't mean it as an insult either, I was offering it as a genuine possible solution. You have played near 700 ranked games this season with a damn near exactly 50% win rate. Unless you have recently gotten significantly better at the game due to some awakening or something, you're probably just where you belong.

This Is Your Dad1 votesAs for being where I belong I don't necessarily agree in terms of maximum potential. I've hit silver 1 before through sheer dumb luck and playing only one champion. I go up and down, and I'm just trying to maximize the height of the ladder I can reach at my peak, regardless of whether it reflects my total overall skill level. I think within another season I have a chance to get to Gold 5 before stopping my ranked games altogether.

This Is Your Dad3 votesWell for me it's harder because I was shaken as a baby and suffer from a traumatic head injury that hurts my overall coordination and perception, as well as slows my reaction time. I can't use my right hand very well either so my accuracy is not on par with many other players. I do have a maximum potential that is limited by my ability to function at high speeds with proper coordination.

Currently I'm just trying to squeeze out the most of my ability I can and make it to Gold 5 before quitting ranked altogether in favor of a more enjoyable gaming experience.

I think though, that to improve matchmaking, they need to put all new players in bronze instead of trying to balance them in silver games to start out their ranked experience, especially with all the smurfs (not necessarily good ones, but more game knowledge). As it stands if I get a new player on my team according to op.gg they can't really do anything if they're not naturally gifted and have amazing reflexes. I feel bad for them though because I remember jumping into ranked too soon and getting stomped. It's a learning experience that even normals don't teach you.

For example, I think that if I was paired with players that are ranked in gold with similar amount of games played, I would have a much better experience, and that way the better player wins.

I've played probably at least 2000 Normal games and about that many in Ranked. I used the Normals to get down champion mechanics and Ranked to smooth out the outlying laning skills as well as my macro game. Took me a hell of a long time but I started 2 years ago in Bronze 5...

Up until the point that a Level 30 account gets its first rank and completes its first ranked season, its Match Making Rating (or MMR) is shared across both normals and ranked games. It's possible to play 4000 games in normals only, get super fucking good, and then play your placements and get Platinum V. It has been done on fresh accounts.

It was basically a free win b/c the support was 1) not level 30 so she prob didn't know what to do in general and 2) probably not even sure what Janna does. I felt bad but hey, a win's a win.

The best time to play is during the fall. Probably the easiest and best time to get half decent games.
