Was this reportable?

I was in an ARAM game, and of course being ARAM, my team got a better stompy comp. The other team was giving up early, and weirdly I know, I like a good fight not just smushing people. They managed to ace us and I told them "See, you guys with the comeback!" then they managed to kill us and push our tower and I told them "Look at you guys, I'm real proud of you." Apparently one of the enemy team took a lot of offense and said he was going to report me for what I said. I know this is League, and you expect people to be rude, but I genuinely want to encourage people to play and try and not just give up when things look bad. Is what I said reportable? I honestly didn't mean to upset them, I wanted to be kind.

Whether it is reportable is subject to each individual's own interpretation :-))) Is that report valid? NO.

I have been reported for having the Hextech Annie skin.

People get triggered easily these days. Think nothing of it.

I mean it greatly depends on the intention of what you said. Since this is all chat one can interpret what you say as malicious. Like coming off as sarcastic, or trying to egg on the enemy team to be toxic by "faking" being polite. Most people who play this game usually only see the bad and because of that will always see even the positives as negatives.

I highly doubt you'd get ban or punished from this, but ive seen people like this before when playing, and if they cannot accept that some people are actually positive when playing this game then i just dont talk/congratulate them in chat because its not worth it when people think everyone who plays this game is negative!

Everything is reportable; not everything is bannable.

I've been reported for not chatting. You got reported for chatting.

These reports are invalid, but it just goes to show you that people will damn you if you do and damn you if you don't.

A true story from a normal game: Nami (me) ~ ehm, ashe, what's with the smite? Veigar ~ why u use smite ashe?? Ashe ~ /all report my team for flaming me please

There was an ingame discussion recently about champions owned and IP (two people, I dunno who, randomly started arguing/boasting about their IP - "40k IP"; "65k IP"), and when I chipped in to shut them up and said I have 185k IP (which is true), I was immediately accused of cheating and was to be reported for botting as soon as the game ended.
