Can't even get to launch screen

I click to open LoL and all i get is the little load the launch screen icon. I have closed it and restarted it 3 times, restarted my computer and tried again twice and still nothing. It's stuck there. Anyone else?

Good to know I'm not the only one experiencing this problem.

There's your problem, you're using an inferior video player such as VLC. You should switch to MPCHC for better results.
