I cant go into a game without being bullied anymore. the game play is so good and i love all the characters in the game! but the people who play them can be so terrible. i've posted on this board before and i guess i will do it again because it is the only thing I can do anymore. this report system needs to be fixed/made better. i don't know who is at fault or if it is anyone at all but the hate speech and the bullying is only getting bigger! i have played this game for almost as long as it has been out, and it seems it has never been this bad before.

I love this game. But the people who run it need to step up and stop focusing on making new champions we don't need and fix the problems we have had for the longest time.

I'd personally be incredibly happy if we didn't get a single new champion in season 7 and got nothing but matchmaking and moderation changes.

I would really appreciate that, and would attract A LOT of new players, which means more money so no downside for them and no downside for the players.

the only possible downside i could see possibly happening is people get bored with the game and quit, but we don't need those type of people anyway

I don't know how to "fix everything", I can just point at what sucks and offer some ideas.

What sucks:

Losing nontrivial amounts of games due to team infighting and general toxicity
Willful trolls having nothing done to them
Almost no feedback, so it seems like all reports are for naught
Intentional feeding and other non-chat-based trolling is exceedingly hard to catch
Those that want to improve are not told anything beyond "you screwed up, go read the SC, stop being toxic, here's your chatban"

Ideas:

(1) Start laying down the hammer more often. False positives are almost nonexistent, so start swinging the hammer already
(1,2) Dupe account detection so that multiple accounts owned by the same person are all punished at the same time.
(3) A status for all reports made (accepted/rejected), and some display of your report weight
(3) Recognition (border, icon, etc) for players who help in shitcanning the most toxic players
(4) An official replay system in game, and the ability to report people after leaving the game - this way, you can go back through a replay and say "Okay yeah, that guy was definitely just standing there" or "Huh, no, just playing horribly", and send the timestamp to Riot in your report. ++Cut down on Riot having to review games manually.
(5) Line-by-line breakdown of what was said that triggered a punishment, as a "This thing you did here? Stop it."

agree with all except for borders for reporting people. that would lead to a MASSIVE increase in flamebaiting/attempting to make other players toxic

Eh, you're probably right, but I can't help but think the game would be better with those who can be made toxic with a line of chat gone.

You never figured out how to use mute yet? I always thought the game should start with all muted by default, and you have to unmute people to hear them, becasue it seems like a lot of people get triggered by chats.

Edit: I don't think they should ban people for certain words but I forgot how annoying it is that people will get into these flame wars mid game and completely lose focus on the task at hand. So nevermind to anyone who read my post before this edit.
