How do you react when someone from the enemy team calls you "bad"

Playing against a Malphite top as Poppy. I won my lane but we got decimated once we started grouping and we ended up losing. After the game Malph went into chat saying how I was terrible and how I didn't understand mid game at all ( because pressing R as malph is very strenuous). I don't know why but this really got to me, like I was livid after the game. My question is how do you usually deal with behavior like this? Should I just disable all chat ?

You got it in one. Disable all chat, the enemy isn't ever gonna have anything helpful to say to you

Considering you are talking about post-game chat 2 steps(to all the mute them people, he is talking about post-game chat so you can't mute them).

  1. Report him: from what I have heard they take post game into account now.
  2. Don't say a word, you don't get through to players like that.
  3. Remember he is terrible. You feel better that way.

If a person calls you bad, mute them. Keep chat on in the event other people are not using chat for the wrong reason. Other people saying chat is useless apparently aren't paying attention, or use it badly affecting how people they see use it.

Take it from someone that took a LONG time to get this through her stubborn head, do NOT respond lividly back to them. People thrive on getting reactions out of you, especially in game but also after in post game chat. Learn to take a victory from him by not responding to him if it's post game, report him, type out what he did or said to you in the description box as well- I get more notifications that someone was punished thanks to my report if I let them know what they said.

And go on with your day!

Had a guy get mad at me on the enemy team in the new game-mode. We were all Veigar, and they were all Sona I think? Ended up muting after letting him know being toxic wouldn't resolve anything, but to go ahead, and take a mute.

Proceeded to get the final kill for my team outplaying him heavily, killing him through a zhonias, and a flash then proceeded to give him a thumbs-up, and a laugh for making him waste both. Didn't stick around for post chat after he was humiliated.

I move the chat box off the screen, after /mute all so I don't even hear that annoying static sound every time someone posts in chat.

Don't think anything useful is ever said in any chat ever.
