i play on smurfs to find new players

inevitably destroy them and then round them up and add them to my friends list and play games with them, hoping to make them better at the game. is it rude? well, at first it is very rude to them. they get rekt by a person who isnt even new. but they're always happy to hear my suggestions. one player I'm helping right now has learned to itemize master yi, prioritize minion kills over champion kills, and play safe. you can imagine how I feel every time I see someone bashing on a new player for..well, being new. I did the exact same thing when I was new, but I suffered two bans on this account already and have definitely changed my act. i do this in hopes of making the new players ignore the toxic players and focus on getting better. does anyone else do this?

I'd try to do this, but the problem is I'm not very good at the game myself, so I can't actually teach new players anything.

Not that most of the players I've met have shown much interest in learning. In fact, I had more smurfs add me to teach ME than vice versa.

It makes my reform feel kinda worthless, since I'm just crawling back up the grind without being able to contribute.

if you're playing on a low level account just to destroy new players then yes that definitely makes you a scumbag regardless of the fact that you try to help them improve AFTER the game. why can't you help them during the game?

why do you need to tryhard? i play on low level accounts all the time, i either do bot games or normals, either way, i'm just giving new players advice the whole game and trying champs i don't know how to play.

could i easily 100-0 them at any point in time? yep.

but what's the fun in that?

i'm farming, i'm taking the turret, my macro game will win us the game anyways, i don't need to fucking annihilate new players just to get fed and boost my ego

but i guess it's different when you're bronze. new players are probably the only people you can take on.
