The League Community

While I agree that there is a problem with the league community and at times it really isn't all that fun, is it really all that different from what you experience in other team multiplayer games? Like agreed, it is annoying to have to deal with, but is this any different from Call of Duty, where people call eachother %%%gots all game? Or any of the other online communities that are predominately multiplayer based? In Dota, people get mad and are just as toxic as they are here. In Overwatch even, people are just as toxic as they are here, constantly harassing their teammates if they make a simple mistake. You see AFK's and trolls in all of these games as well. In CSGO, you see the same thing yet again: toxic teams that think if something went wrong it was anybody's but their own fault.

While I'm not condoning this kind of behavior, and believe that it is detrimental to game communities as a whole, all I am saying is that this "toxic community" isn't unique to just League of Legends, but to online games as a whole. In THIS online game however, it is better than most. I've played console games for my entire life and COD might be one of the worst communities ever, and there is little to no enforcement on what is said. You can be as bigoted, racist, and homophobic as you want on that game and nobody cares. All I'm saying is instead of believing that the League community is the most toxic thing in existence and it sucks because toxicity is limited to this community, understnad that this type of conduct happens in literally every online multiplayer game I can think of where you have to rely on your teammates to win. Before you condemn League and Riot for producing a toxic environment, think how lucky you are to be in a community where Riot, whether you think they are effective or not, try to make the community a better place for everybody.

You can leave games in other multiplayer games. Riot allows jerks to literally hold your account hostage, while you have no choice but to give your time to people who only want to ruin your experience. A major obstacle in the ranked experience is dealing with antisocial assholes.
