I guess it depends on what you call boosting?

Somebody queuing with friends all the time who carry them to an MMR above their actual level? Not punishable.

Somebody have another player play ranked on their account to raise their MMR? Punishable.

eeeeeyup. And there have been a LOT of people coming and posting here about being banned for boosting the past week or so. I wonder if it's common every season around this time, or if this is unique to season 6. I didn't really check the forums for any earlier ones. Any oldbies have any insight there?

1st offense is a 2 week ban and you forfeit any ranking rewards for that season.

2nd offense is a permanent ban.

All boosters should be banned permanently, there is no worst feel than to play against a diamond, master or challenger player in a bronze or silver account and rek everything, and if 1 is on your team i feel like quiting and remaking cuz its not fair to win like this. And some even call you trash if you say anything about them being a booster or smurf, things like:

Player 1: Your smurfing bro. Booster: Nah your just trash OR Player 1: Play your main Smurf: I want to trash some noobs.

Thats why i think boosters and smurf have to get banned from this game, they just make an unpleasent experience especialy to those of us that play 1 or 2 games a day due to work. And since season is almost over boosters are everywhere, literaly i have encountered at least 1 in every 2 or 3 games.
