Today I decided to try something different and post a thread about Skyrim in Memes and Games. The post got taken down on account that it was better suited for miscellaneous. I'm not angry, just wondering why I couldn't post a thread about a game in the catagory "Memes and Games"?
ModMod Curator2 votesThe title of the section is referring to forum games, not video/board/card/etc games. You can find more information by reading the Guidelines tab on the left sidebar. The following are the pertinent quotes from it in this case:
Here’s where we celebrate the best of League memes and ridiculous in-jokey games. ... Import even more fun to the boards by creating your own forum game, or start a never-ending pun thread without using Garen’s icon

Another one though, do you guys normally get people posting about different games in M&G? I can't be the only one who didn't read the sidebar :/

It happens occasionally. We try to remove and re-direct them as quickly as possible to minimize confusion.
Epic Murph1 votesDo you think it would save you guys some trouble if RITO changed the title to "Memes and Humor"? Or does it not happen enough to justify a change?

It doesn't happen that often. Surfacing the Board section guidelines would probably help more universally, but that's a design decision and I'm a moderator, so who knows.
