it's so irritating.. i am sitting here trying to improve... but instead of anyone like. giving any constructive criticism at all - it is always, "omg this ashe" or "wow ashe is so bad" or "ashe why aren't you with the team?" -> honest answer from me of a valuable decision I thought was worth doing -> "lol"... like.

these aren't helpful at all.

... and I do 'em too, too often ...

alternatives would be, "ashe can you help me trade better please?" or "ashe you keep getting cought out :(" or "ashe it would've been key if you were at baron with us"

these are criticisms which 1) would actually help me in-game to adjust my poor habits or at least attempt to, increasing our chance to win 2) wouldn't tilt me or any of our teamates by association.

so... I'm trying to look for opportunities to be politely helpful. wish me luck... anyone else doing the same?

It takes extreme tact to give criticism that will not be met with anger. Like, borderline manipulative sociopath type of tact. I'm pretty good at it. The key is to make it seem like an idea that just hit you, and phrase it as "I think" instead of making it sound like you know it all.

The problem is, the other 99% out there who need help aren't willing to listen to constructive criticism because it hurts their feelings to be told what they need to do to improve.

Just ask: "tell me what i did wrong" if they don't give a clear answer just mute/report.

Most of the time they just blame while being clueless themselves.

I usually try to help the people I play with if I can. I don't care to participate in "bming", and am not a fan of it whatsoever. I tend to report anyone who shows unsportsmanlike qualities on either team if it appears in chat as well. I especially try to help my partner if I'm in bot lane where I can, usually it's just like "hey try to stay behind the creep wave" or I'll try to signal to back when we already pushed up the wave.

If it's norms then they shouldn't be saying anything but if you aren't doing good in ranked then you need to think/fix it fast or else you will always get BM'D.

I watched videos and played a lot to get better and i'm still trying to get better but most of the time when people want to talk it's their faults too.

Nobody gives good criticism bc u will get flamed for that , people have too much ego due to poor education and this is x100 bigger in the virtual world where nobody has any responsibility .

You go 10-1-14 and carry their butts, they flame you for Kill stealing and keeping them from getting going. You go 1-6-30, they flame you for the 1-6. One death and it's like FF game over this janna.

Yeah it doesn't matter. You get punished for being constructive too, cause people report the shit out of you when they don't like the truth. I spent my first 2 years of league trying to point out what people did wrong and what they could have done different. They just flame you, then gang up and report. I am quitting the game now because I have some hilarious chat logs that are apparently the reason I get chat banned. Like legit 90% helpful and 10% frustrated retaliation to the flame that comes out of it.

The bulk of people can't handle helpful input, so it turns everyone into a-holes.
