Is Silver 3 the absolute worst spot in the entire ranking system?

I'm being bombarded with toxic smurfs that botted to 30 after being permabanned, people that botted just to feed, smurfs that decided to lose on purpose to get into bronze and stream utter domination, and new players that don't know what they're doing but are still trying to win. Is this the exact spot of hell on earth, or am I just really unlucky? And no, I'm not on a super losing streak; it's about 50/50 because they're on the other team too.

nah man from what i've heard it only gets more toxic the higher you get.

No, Diamond 5 is awfully worse.

I've had 4-5 "assist" bans in the past 3 days.

Sadly most players in this mmr don't know how to take constructive critisism and think they're the greatest 1 tricks in the world. And the LP Gain system is horrifying. I can understand if i lose 15 LP gain 15 LP. But I gain 14-15 LP per game and lose 19-21. I'm playing with people my rank (p1-d4). I can win 5 games in a row at a rate of 14 LP per game for each win and 3 losses will basically take me to where i started. I've never stressed so much over a video game and I'm completely done until the season is over.
