There's No Reason NOT To Honor Somebody

I always, ALWAYS, honor somebody on my team, even if I lost, even I hated my entire team, which is majority of the time. Because when everybody honors somebody, than everybody gets extra honor. Even if you specifically didn't get honored, you'd still get SOME honor because everybody honored somebody.

Don't fucking complain about being stuck at honor level 1 or 0 when you don't honor other people. If everybody honors somebody, everybody gets honor, it's that fucking simple.

if everyone is a toxic piece of shit, why should i give them my honor lol i climbed honor 0 to 4 tier 2, it's not that hard, but why should i give people something they don't seserve

I only honor those I feel deserve it. If I feel no one earned it then I don't honor anyone, simple as that.

If everyone on my team is toxic which happens to be the case a lot of the time, I'm not giving it out to someone who didn't deserve it. I will honor in the right scenarios. If you choose to do it your way that's fine, but there are legit reasons to not honor someone.

There have definitely been times where I've not honored anyone. The only time this season happened when our jungler flipped out, started insulting 1 laner, then 2 other players started following others in the jungle. Ludicrous.

Why would I honor one of the 4 guys I'm reporting? Also, I almost never get honored when I do well and am positive/quiet simply cause premades. Screw people! When Riot stops allowing you to honor premades I'll consider using it more.

Honor is not this thing you come together to maximize for everybody, it's meant to be given when deserved. If my entire team spent most of the game gooblywonking, they don't deserve it. It's that simple.

No win, No honor. You dont get a "participation trophy" from me. You act like an entitled ass and spend your entire game spamming "report X for.....", you dont get honor. you throw your team under the bus to pat yourself on the back "Im too good for this trash team...." YOU DONT GET HONOR.

I honored maybe one in fifty games. Usually a Thresh or Alistar player. The only people who deserve honors are real supports. Healbots and shieldbots do not get honors. Solo laners don't get honors. ADCs don't get honors.

Yeah I kind of hate this mechanic because if all 4 people flame I am incentivised to honor and report at the same time.

I almost never honor anyone when we lose. The ONLY exception is if someone was doing extremely well and hard carrying but were unable to carry us to victory because we are all too heavy and that is extremely rare. Most games, my team just feeds out of control and blame each other and beg for reports. I don't honor feeders at all and I never will. I'm not encouraging that shit. There's already far too many feeders in SoloQ already. I'd rather tell them what utter shit I think they are.

Shrug, I like to pretend honor has some meaning beyond just increasing for rewards. I'm not gunna honor anybody if I feel nobody was worth honoring.

Anyone remember when RIOT deleted everyone's honor and then chose to make it private it so only the account user could see it? Hard to take it seriously anymore after losing 4300 hard earned honors. RIP

Anyone that does anything outstanding in a game will get an honor for me. And that doesn't just mean gameplay mechanics. Someone who makes good jokes or lift up the teams spirit with light hearted all chat fun will get an honor from me.

Oh hell no. There are definitely times when you get a group of people that will barrade you or a team that cant decide what they wanna do and they act like a bunch of drunken monkeys flinging their poo at each other and when it gets worse flings more poop. Nu uh. If you act like like a asshole you don't get an honors. Just because you carried a game and you treated everyone like shit does not make you deserve honors. Honors are for people who bring positivity to a game even if you didn't win, they were still nice, they kept calm, or they gave good criticism without being an ass hat.
Do you know how many times my enemy team has deserved honors more than my team? More than I would like to admit.

Well i can think of two instances where not honoring anyone is legit:

1 - you were the only person who didn't engage in flame/toxicity on your team. Why honor someone - even if they were the shotcollar? Good sportsmanship is more than just making good plays.

2 - I was once the only human player on my team in an ARAM. Obvious scripted bots when they all huddle in the same place, all have the same summoner spells, and all behave the same way, with weird names like RiT068, RiT069ab, etc. I didn't honor anybody then.

But yeah, generally even with a crushing loss I can find SOMEONE to honor. Even if it's just the guy saying 'hang in there' and trying to positive.

Just my take, YMMV. I upvoted you though because I think I know where you're coming from.

If your teamates were horrible then they did nothing to desrve any honors. You may be thinking what about tiltlroof. Fuxk no. Tbisnis low elo. everyone thinks the belong in diamond but they dont realize they are trash. This is brinze and silver. The only elo i know of besides d1 and above is g3. The cognitive bias comes back in platinum.

You're right in the sense, that you actually have to go out of your way not to honor anyone on your team, but sometimes there's cases like that - you just can't honour your abusers, as much as Riot is trying to push the "make everyone feel better, even if they're terrible people" agenda.
