There is no such thing as a bad player.

The most common insult you will see when you play League of Legends is "You suck", "You are so bad", "You can't play/do ...", and things of that kind. These are all just so wrong, since you can't be bad at this game, you can only make mistakes.

  1. it's usually judged only off of one game. A lot of you who are level 30 have probably played hundreds of games, and there is no doubt you've had your times to shine with many more of those times to come. But to base your entire judgment off of one game? That's called "generalizing", something that we DON'T want to do.

  2. Saying that someone is bad at this game implies that overall, and forever on, they will still be bad. In my opinion, this is one of those games that are great examples of the saying "practice makes perfect." Even if you do make mistakes, you can only get better. If you're getting worse, well, I don't know what to say, since subconsciously learning and being aware of your mistakes is human nature, so you might not be human. :D

  3. ...Why? I'm sorry, but that's just rude. What's even worse is that you always get away with it due to the anonymity of the internet. Though that lets you get away with it, that's also the reason that you know it's wrong. You don't know how that person miles away is going to feel. Believe it or not, saying these things hurt people. You can tell me all you want that you don't care how anyone feels. I know that deep down you do care a little bit, and even if you TRULY don't care, then why do you care play League of Legends? That's just hypocritical.

  4. It's so pointless and only creates a negative situation in your favor. The purpose of telling someone they suck is to hurt them and have them realize and truly know that they suck. But they know they don't, because they know you're wrong. You're not accomplishing your purpose, so this "satisfaction" you feel when you insult someone, isn't even real. You just create this feeling to try and seem like the bigger person. I may not know a lot about psychology, but I do know this much.

Please, just don't tell anyone they suck. Why can't we be nice to each other? :'(

Competitive game, people are going to be toxic, rude, insulting, and generally prideful and arrogant. Niceness is only from the slightly casual people.

I agree with you. People should have grown up to sympathize with others. That's the point of maturity. To respect one another in a dignified manner. But it is also a human sin to have pride and crave power. As one sees the opportunity to exert himself on another person without punishment, it's like taking a cookie out of the jar.

And in this case, this is a 30+ minute game that people heavily put their time, effort, and focus into. Things can get heated when they feel guilty of the time they wasted and angry from the loss due to another's mistakes. Yes, there are better ways to take out their anger, and ideally they shouldn't get angry at all. It's a game. Insulting and calling people out for being bad is redundant and useless. How about encouragement? Maybe that will win you the game in the end.
