Question About Bans (or something)

I know the experience of being banned (perma lol) but if you get a 2 week ban and then not be toxic for like a year straight do the Rioters look at the year without toxicity and move back to chat restrictions or do they still perma ban you? because i feel like 1 toxic game could get you perma banned after being nice and team friendly for a year or so [sg-lux-2]

The number we have is 3 months of regular play. If you play honorably for approximately 3 months, you'll drop down a punishment tier (of four tiers). A full year of honorable play would reset your (hypothetical) punishment from "Next is a perma" to "Next is a 10-game restriction", slurs and hate speech notwithstanding.

We reasonably believe that being at a 14-day ban takes longer to drop a tier (perhaps 4+ months) than a 10-game restriction.

We are almost certain that being validly reported during the span hinders progress, and being validly reported too much might just trigger the next tier of punishment (permanent ban) before it decays to the previous tier.

I've removed your link, as we do not allow for the promotion of products on the boards.

To answer your question: your account goes back into good standing with playing non-toxic games, not with time elapsed. So while someone said "3 months" that's not necessarily the exact amount, but an average. While I can't say this with 100% certainty, your account standing should correlate pretty strongly with your honor progress. If you're gaining honor, you're on the right track. Stuck at honor 0? You account is not going back into good standing.
