Can you get banned for what you say in the post-game lobby?

Yesterday, I had someone who said "kys" three times to his teammates in the post game lobby. I reported him and today, I checked his OP.GG and he's still playing.

Yes, but if you reported him after he said it idk if it scans again. Send in a ticket with screenshots if you have them.

I think people need to suck it up and stop getting butt hurt over mean things that people say on the internet. Unless someone is constantly harassing you the entire game, using hate speech, etc, or inting, whats the big deal? They are just letters on a screen. Just block them and move on. Trash talking has long been a part of video game culture and if you are too fragile to deal with that, then don't play.

Yes, some of them don't get punished. I had similar case a week or two ago. I even sent a support ticket (2nd ever report via Support ticket from me) with screen captures and got the regular template answers we all know by heart by now. The player wasn't punished.

If it goes to support, it all depends on if the support person is lazy or diligent one. I cannot say which ones are more dominant at Riot, but if we believe in human nature, they are mostly the former type and choose the easy way out.

While Necromancy may be handy (and sometimes needed) in video games, it's not the case for old forum threads. Please avoid using such magic and be mindful of how old threads are before posting.

Feel free to contact us at the Moderation Discord or at Discuss the Boards for any questions, comments or concerns about this. Thank you and have a good day.

P.S. Like AngusBoomPants said it is and has always been possible to be punished for poor pre- and/or post-game chat behavior. It only just recently became visible in Reform Cards so not many people knew of this fact before-hand.
