Can I please play bad without having someone flaming up me the ass and telling me to kill myself?

Sorry I made a mistake, sorry I didn't ward, sorry I didn't give my full potential in the blind pick game, sorry I didn't give you red buff, sorry I died 7 times, sorry this and sorry that. Is that what you want to hear? I seriously don't get these types of players, ones that deliberately make you feel like shit. It's like they think that I'm not an actual human being with feeling and emotions, that I'm just some robot they're talking to over the internet. I can't even play this game anymore without it ruining my fucking day because of some random person telling me that they're going to rape my mother, tell me to kill myself because I didn't live up to their expectations, spam missing pings over my head because I wasn't looking at my mini map, flame me because my build isn't up to date, tell me that they're going to look up where I live and shoot me in the fucking head, tell me that I'm a waste of human fucking breath, or anything else you can think of. Those are just a few examples of my past 2 days of playing ranked.

Riot, I love your game to death man, but I just can't deal with this crap anymore. It's literally affecting my personal life at this point, making me insecure and making me think that I'm the issue for everything. It sucks, but I love playing. I don't want to have to /mute all every single game because that's just ruining the chance of actually meeting someone fucking dope that I'd like playing with in the future. Idk man, it just blows. You guys need to start addressing Social Security logins and create ID bans or something, because this is just getting fucking ridiculous.

I am ok with people making mistakes. Heck I make a ton of mistakes myself and appreciate if people point them out constructively. I don't support overly toxic responses to mistakes, but what I don't really find acceptable is when one player keeps making the same critical mistake 5 over times in the same game until the mistakes are starting to have adverse effects on our team’s ability to win the game and yet still be unable to take simple constructive criticism when taking such criticism will likely greatly increase our chances of winning (I usually get a kick in the face from knee jerk reaction by just mildly chiding the said player).

Examples of constructive criticism which I often get kicked in the face for:

  • ADC please do not split push

  • botlane help mid instead of pushing inner turret

  • sp/top please try not to push the wave

I am also not ok with people who do not admit their mistakes unlike the OP of this thread. If I mildly chide someone and that player says "ok" or something similarly neutral, I am unlikely to pursue the matter even if he or she continues making the same mistake (it takes time to correct mistakes). But from my experience usually I will get kicked in the face 80% of the time instead of receiving a neutral response which is extremely upsetting, and yet I am required to suppress my emotions.

I also 100% find the behaviour of in-game SJW sympathisers to be absolutely unacceptable. Yes those people who tell me to shut up when I mildly chide people and to "stop being trash like them (the players in the wrong)". What you are doing is what sociologists call "normalizing deviance", which means you are making what is wrong right, instead of righting what is wrong. Continue and everything will go topsy turvy.

Responding to the kick in my face will likely result in me getting punished, from what I can tell from these forums, so I suppose I should just give up "honorably" and just lose the game anyway (and report them while I'm at it since kicking me in the face is considered flaming). That seems to be what Riot prefers altho imo it isn't honorable at all to let bad players remain bad. In school or a sports team setting, it is 100% fine to give players constructive criticism. The current system in place does not address this kind of behaviour and instead punishes those who are trying to make things right. This is fundamentally the frustration of many players towards the current system. Essentially it all feels like a giant popularity contest rather than an honorable system.

No you cannot. I will tell you this though, if I roast someone in my game for fucking up badly and being an idiot.. if they simply say "my bad" I will leave them alone. Apologies go a long way, the problem with this community is they can't accept responsibility for their mistakes so when they die top lane and you say "stop overextending" they say "stfu idiot jungler muted and reported" because Riot has taught these kids that they don't have to take responsibility for anything if they just report. This community is a fucking joke and a bunch of pansies. Man up.

Perhaps consider both sides of the equation. Most players do not start tilting like that unless there is a trigger, there always has to be a trigger.. a fire cannot burn without a combustible ignition source. Why not actually look at what the other player is ranting or raging to you about and see if maybe there is some valid feedback in there (outside of the harassment) that you can work on?

I find that most people in this game are quick to complain about harassment and toxicity but none want to work on becoming a better player. Being a good sport and an acceptable teammate is a huge factor in preventing other players from raging at you. Generally unusual picks (Such as when I play Riven ADC) are shunned by the majority of players. These things will get you a higher toxicity rate as even if you can do it well people will be more inclined to blame all their mistakes on your strange pick. I see you play Twitch Jungle, which fits in this category. There are way more Junglers who do a better job than Twitch, and Twitch is generally frowned upon by most players as a Jungle.

Playing well (note I did not say perfectly, I said "well" -- "good enough", "getting the job done", etc.), often in itself is enough to shut down toxicity. If someone is getting mad because they think you suck, but you start carrying the game, it will quickly put out the fire and they will hush and focus more on themselves. It's a given that if someone is playing badly, the other players on that team aren't going to be happy. The objective is to win, and if you as a teammate are not playing up to par with everyone else, then you are basically just dragging down the rest of your team. No one likes carrying dead weight around, so naturally it's going to create friction and heated moments with other players in games.

If you find yourself the target of people's rage on a regular basis, try taking note of what the core of the complaints are (outside of the "you're bad kid", ask them why they think you're a bad player if they didn't say already). Begin by working on these things, because they've already been proven issues (it upset someone enough to make them flame you). By avoiding creating the same problem again in the future, eventually you will become a solid player, and also will have less and less players flaming you for mistakes in your games.

None of this is me trying to justify or say "negative behavior" is acceptable. What you should take from this however is that, you as a teammate have the power to prevent a lot of flaming and negative behavior with a little work. Preventing all of it is impossible, but if you give others less reason to flame you, then other players won't have a reason to flame you and usually won't.

Social Security logins would be illegal under US law, as the SSN is prohibited from being used as a general identification number, first of all.

Second of all, Riot made League to be a free to play game - and it is free for all. Any form of restriction you start placing on accounts (be it SMS verification, IP verification, etc) will only restrict players from playing the game who wanted to. There is no good way to automatically and via computer program restrict individuals to one account while still letting all individuals play the game (if they aren't banned).

I recommend you continue reporting those players who are flaming you so they can be dealt with by the IFS. Riot's system actually does reform over 90% of players who get punished, and of those who get permanently banned most don't ever come back to the game.

Hey man once it's blind tell him go fuck his self he has the option of playing draft and rank as long as you didn't do anything not sportsman like don't worry about it

Oh lol yeah ppl take rank seriously eg might have been this guy's last match to leave bronze 3 and who knows maybe he was what he called you in his last game I understand that ppl want to be challengers but they take this too serious if it's that important to them they should make their own team and play with them anyway don't let this affect you man do like me and laugh at the ppl who roast others cuz it shows their quality of life which normally is shit thus the reason they cyberbully Just have fun and enjoy the game Nstf out

How dare you not play perfectly.

Eh, there's a reason I don't play Rift. Even in normal, people freak out because if you don't call the lane fast enough and you get stuck in an unfamiliar role and you TELL them you're unfamiliar with it, they still get mad. You can't just leave either because then you get penalized for leaving. Then they get more angry because you play badly. It's a vicious cycle. I just /muteall and play Twisted. I'm here to play and relax. Sometimes I have a great game, other times I don't. If I make a mistake, I'll at least apologize for it or my off games. I'm not going to let my bad playing and people's general toxicity ruin my life.

If you tilt easily, you probably should start the game with /mute all

Silent Gravity4/23/2018, 3:05:44 AM1 votes

Mute them. Mute their pings.

After the first insult. Don't let continue.

Then, report them after the game. Those types of players are punished.

Play solo queue, not flex.

Have you ever tried to mute ? If that bothers you just mute, why bringing it up here in forums ?
