so a friend and me played some arams together we agreed to not fight in teamfights no matter what. we make it look like engage but then just stay behind we also agreed that he says nothing and i talk like a real optimistic good player after every fight (funny is that out of 10 games we won 4 that way but yea its aram its a little luck based aswell) i said stuff like "gj guys we got this!" or "damn next fight just go as 5" so i only talked nice motivating stuff.

we came to the conclussion that talking makes ppl flame you. 10/10 games ppl flamed ONLY ME for not helping for trolling and for breaking the rules by insulting (even tho i never said something bad) my friend got not flamed A SINGLE TIME!!!

conclussion: just mute flamers right away no matter how nice you are they flame you.

ps: yes ik this will get a lot of hate for ruining games etc. but thats ok.

An interesting experiment but I think you need to run the experiment again doing the exact same thing except actually helping your team win. Running an experiment without having a control group is somewhat meaningless.

so why only flame me and not my friend who helped less than i did? when i had taric i at least healed he never did anything! doesnt make sense to only flame me? its because i talked.

Neither of you were being helpful but you were basically holding up a sign that said "Hey look at me I'm not helping and I think its funny". People aren't stupid, as soon you started pretending to be helpful they caught on to you.

You're right about one thing though, if you want to be a hindrance to your team on purpose, don't talk, because then people will assume the best: that you're just bad or having a bad game.

bcuz not participating in a teamfight, and saying stupid patronizing things and positive things just make people super mad

it doesnt matter if ur friend doesnt say anything or not, all u did was add a trigger to the angry team and now they have a scapegoat ignoring your friend.

playing scientist and doing a psychological experiment just goes to show that u have nothing to do and fucking around with your team is the best way to make yourself feel better about yourself

You got a few things right though, patronizing your team is as insulting to them as calling this farce an experiment is to everyone reading it.

i dont know rlly... all i see is some guy who is mad about being flamed so he goes about making an "experiment" to see why when really the only reason someone is flamed is if they play bad and then talk about it.

this "experiment" is probably the worst way to go about stopping flame. u could literally just mute them, or get better yourself

as i recall, my first comment does not have any name calling in it and only some implied anger in it because this kind of complaints are the things i see everyday, of how a team flames an innocent person

well if people look at the match history and look at what they were actually doing, they would see that they were really that bad and deserved no sympathy

so this experiment really just ticked me off

maybe i went a little too much the first time but it got my point across, just not the way i expected it to.

and maybe, just maybe, if the people that complained actually looked at what they did wrong, or asked for help in seeing what they did wrong, instead of having this ego of their team is feeding and flaming, then maybe they would get better and not get flamed by actual innocents like me.

I agree on a lot of points, it SHOULD tick you off. The "experiment" was very unfair to other players, conducted in a terribly inept manner and finally the "results" were basically worthless.

This guy thought he was really making a point but all he did was come across as patronizing and condescending to a few players in a few games. It's a blasphemy to anyone that has any understanding of the real scale involved in League of Legends.

Whew, I kinda just went off on a rant there.
