PSA: why naming and shaming is not allowed on the boards.

I see this a lot on the boards and the answer is surprisingly simple: because humans can lie. They can do so for many reasons:

you dislike the account owner irl
he had a bad game with you in it
he is a troll that wants your name ruined
he disagreed with you on the boards and decides to make up something to make you look bad.

It is not that we naturally think that you would be a liar, But based on only your words and potential fake evidence you easily could lie.

to show you all why it shouldn't be allowed to name and shame I made some examples of fake evidence and used naming and shaming on the worst rotten player of league of legends: deathgod5(me)

Naming and shaming is something we do not tolerate at all. Mainly because it alienates players and more often than not puts information out to the public that would have otherwise been limited to those that player recently played with. And usually that information would be embarrassing.

I recommend that when anybody shows a direct source (match history, account masteries, in-game chat, etc.), try to blot out usernames that are not your own. Makes it easier for everyone, since people have the opportunity to enjoy your post and we don't have to take action on it.

Name and shame should be a pinned post because many new posters don't read the Universal Rules. Also many people don't realize that naming and shaming can be abused, nor do they understand that this is not Riot's support page.

Feel like this should be pinned considering how many name and shame posts are posted on the boards. But we have the rules that people don't bother to read.
