Riot support is completely incompetent?

Really makes me wonder...

[sg-lux-2]

I've sent in 4 tickets to riot support, asking to ban/review games of legitimately toxic/ban-worthy players. I've had a response from the support team for each ticket, but none of the players got punished. [sg-lux-2] Some of these players harassed teams, intentionally fed (scores like 0/18 and diving enemies), and done things like following a player until the end of the game to lose, etc. What's even worse is that two of the players whom I reported, I was matched twice with each of them, and they trolled both games.

No one got banned (I checked their na.op.gg). They're getting away with repeated offenses, still playing the game every day.

What's funny is that in their response to tickets, they say some bs like "keep reporting these players" or "we'll personally review this player and the games that you reported" or "we'll take a look at this report more closely," yet do nothing about it. No in-game notification of punishment. They also say "we can't disclose any actions taken to these players due to our privacy policy." From what I've seen, this essentially translates to "we won't do anything about it but rely on our in-game report system."

So yeah, just to let you good players know, the shit you do to make this game better? Doesn't fucking work. [sg-kiko]

edit: in ranked games

Its not the supports job to ban people. They have the ingame report system for that. Bad scores dont automatically mean inting even extremly bad scores. Ingame notifications are rarely given to prevent backengineering of the system and cause its not nescessary.

Hey riot support believes telling people to kys and threatening their family is ok from the tickets I've sent in.

Mute, report and MOVE ON. Those people get banned. You don't know what other circumstances are about.

They'll never let you know of other people's punishment as it is against their privacy policies.

It actually translates to "even if we did something, we won't let you know".

Plus, a punishment will depend on how severe the harassment was and the person's behavioral history. It's not always 1 game = punishment.

Also, the most effective way to report someone is through the post game lobby, and not through submitting tickets to supports manually.

What Kei143 said is accurate but I had a little to add:

Support will rarely punish for one game - and even if they do, it may not be an immediate suspension which you wouldn't be able to see on OP.GG or any other match history site.

You don't get a notification of a report issued outside of the client. If you didn't report them in client, there's 0% chance of you getting a notification. If you did, but then the punishment was issued manually by support, there's still a 0% chance of you getting a notification.

And you're correct, they don't give information regarding others' accounts to you. It's called privacy.
