It's so difficult to be a positive influence

So I just played a ranked game where I was super nice all game and every single one of my teammates were the most toxic, negative, infuriatingly childish people I have ever encountered. They rotated blame, blaming our ekko first for not having mana when yi went to gank, then blamed him for our darius dying while trying to gank his lane. Then Darius cycled through people, until he eventually came to me. I was called a useless support by a 3/9 darius, when our lane was the only lane to win a single tower. It was just an unstoppable force of negativity. There was nothing I could do to make my teammates stop spouting pure hatred, racist comments, and that ":) You're bad dude LOL" "You're useless :)" crap all game. I can't understand how they don't realize their problem. If you're cycling through people to blame, you are missing something!!!!

I play the game as a social outlet, as much as people say it's a bad idea. I like talking with nice people, making jokes, and having fun while still playing seriously.

I didn't do this during the game. This last game ended up the same way. I was trying to be nice, and people just went straight rage mode on everyone. I said don't sweat it when other people messed up, tried to get them to stop blaming each other, and in the end they just all rallied against me. I took a break from ranked and I come back to this crap. Just utter crap. I'm being very nice all game and they use that as an excuse to be even more toxic, like being nice makes you a beta or something.
