I know this is a silly question but I just met this Swain that AFK next tower and flamed our team.... Did Riot implement a notification system just like Valve's which notifies you if a player you reported has been punished? Because I have encountered so many feeders and griefers everytime I play norms and I always report them but never know if they have been punished. Or maybe there is a notification system but LOL just has some serious flaws? Who knows?
Vhan876515 votesIn all honesty, it really doesn't work; like, it works, but it doesn't do anything about 90% of the time. I've sent the literal replay files of players trolling through support tickets yet can OP.GG them later on to see absolutely nothing having been done.
Riot's too lazy to actually fix the toxicity their game has. And why bother when people still fork them a bunch of money? (Not that I can speak much on this last part. '>.>)
Drugoth5 votesAfks and DCs are dealt with by the leaverbuster. The punishments handed out are different than those handed out by the IFS to trolls and flamers.
When you push that report button and submit your report, things are happening. Just because you can't see or recognize them happening physically does not mean nothing is happening.

If you look at the rest of the PB board, you'll see plenty of examples of people getting punished

The above quote is CORRECT. Riot has the notification, there are a few threads of people showing it. There have also been suggestions for anyone who has reported a user who gets punished within a few days or so gets a notification, but as far as I'm aware Riot hasn't mentioned if that'll happen.
I'd also like to say that ONE report has the same weight as NINE. It takes one report to flag the account to be checked. There's also four tiers of punishments.
So someone may get a chat restriction and not a ban, so they can still play but can only send so many messages a game. Tiers can also be skipped, depending on the severity. Some people also get multiple chat restrictions before getting banned, as there is a reform system to give people a chance to learn. Those who don't learn, get perma banned.
As the above quote said, check around the boards. You'll see many people have been banned, so the system works.

I gave a very detailed and concerned report. It has been months and i still have not seen the little "a player you reported was punished" message.

That message is only given to the player who issued a report in the final game before the offending player is punished. if you didn't get it back then, then you're not going to get that message for that particular player. However, this doesn't mean that they weren't punished in a future game or that your report didn't mean anything.
