People Report Rather Than Play

Riot kind of backs this way of thinking by:

  1. Giving you a pop-up saying a player has been punished

2)Having banter be bannable (example "Damn bard you feed them so much that i'd think you work at a homeless shelter" which is different from "bard go fucking jump off the hoover dam and make sure to go head first" clear difference)

  1. The honor system also does this cause when u get punished it can last from 3-6 months and riot says that it's based on how many reports you still get whether u honor up faster but if everyone loves reporting u can see the cycle. This leads to more anger and more flaming, which either leads to 1)Soft Inting 2)Perm-Ban into quitting or new account with a cycle of flaming cause who the fuck cares now. It's not like u have a main account.

All of this together basically supports you reporting instead of playing. You could troll your adc or jungler trolls the laner, the laner/adc/support whoever flames, get's a chat restriction, and is now stuck in that cycle of being honor 0.

TL;DR Riot supports tantrum reports. Yes that's a thing now. Tantrum Reporting.

...Neither of those examples are banter. Neither of those are friendly, light-hearted, or fun. They're both insults.

I don't know where people seem to be getting their definition for the word "banter", but they might want to look up the real thing. In fact, I'll do it for you:

Banter noun the playful and friendly exchange of teasing remarks.

verb talk or exchange remarks in a good-humored teasing way.

A quick Google Search is all that's needed. Now, let's stop calling banter and toxicity synonyms, shall we?

You seem to be missing something here.

Reports only negatively impact your Honor progress if they are valid. As in, if you're making passive-aggressive remarks all game, and someone reports you for Negative Attitude, that's a valid report. If you don't break the rules, reports will do nothing.

TL;DR Riot supports tantrum reports. Yes that's a thing now. Tantrum Reporting.

No, they don't. Reports without any valid backing or reason behind them get discarded. Don't break the rules, and you won't get punished. Simple as that.

[Citation needed]. You DO NOT get banned for saying that exact wording.

Incorrect. Rito said that VALID reports slowed your progress. VALID reports.

To quote Baron Barian:

There's trash talking, and then there's talking like trash. Don't think twice before you talk. Think 5 times.

From Ulanopo's Knowledge Base:

Trash talk is part of all competitive sports. It happens all the time in the pros.

Yes and no. Yes, trash talk occurs, but it has definite limits. Most of the things that are punished in game (racial, ethnic and homophobic slurs, sexism, etc.) would also earn you a hefty fine in professional sports.

Almost all reports are temper tantrums.

Maybe? Idk, it hasnt made me act that way, and im guessing you either, so i kind of have to disagree. Are you saying they just stop playing when they decide theyre gonna report someone? Also, those reports still have to show dishonorable conduct. You dont just get slowed down because someone reports you for no reason. The more I think about it, the more I think your post is complete and utter bullshit.
