If Riot wants players sticking to the meta, we need a way to report role stealing

We really need a report option that takes role stealing into consideration.

I will pick something like Quinn mid. (I'm a Quinn main) Our team still needs an ADC and last pick locks in Fizz and says he's going mid. Then they proceed to tell me "Quinn isn't a mid pick. Go ADC".

I'm literally forced to play ADC (I hate playing ADC) or I'm forced to dodge. That's my two options. At least let me report the guy if I end up playing and forced to play a role I didn't call. This happens FAR TOO OFTEN to me as a Quinn main. It's gotten to the point where it really tilts me and puts me in a bad mood all game. It increases my toxicity because people get to dictate where I play even when I had pick order over them.

If I object and go mid anyway, my entire team will report me INSTEAD OF THE FIZZ PLAYER, because they all see Quinn as a logical ADC pick over Fizz....

So please Riot, give us an option to report people for stealing our roles. Better yet, log champ select chat so you can make sure there is evidence to back it up too.

There currently is no report option for role stealers. Negative attitude? Nope. Verbal abuse? Nope. Assisting Enemy Team? Sort of... since they screwed over their own team... But not really accurate.

Also this would be a way to report "role or feed" players too... as they basically do the same thing. They lock in a role that was already picked.

Draft Teambuilder ranked next season should hopefully address some of these issues. Then again, I don't think they'll have much of a way to enforce that people actually pick a champ for their assigned role (I guess the hope is if the player queued for that role, they actually want or are willing to play it). Perhaps with the addition of that, they might want to actually consider a report option for the case where somebody queues as ADC and just up and picks a mid champion and tries to force people onto roles other than what they were queued for/assigned.

That said, especially if you want to do things like this is ranked, communication is your friend. People might be more receptive if you bring up that you want to be playing mid Quinn very early on. It's possible that somebody sees the Quinn pick and just assumes it'll be ADC, regardless of what role you had called.

It won't be a cure-all, but these might help. Of course, there's also always normal teambuilder as well.

Seems like an stupid idea to ban people over...

The problem is there's no real... official method to champion select in ranked. I THINK Riot said something to the effect of 'pick order' in passing at one time, but if they start enforcing this sort of thing, they'd need to come up with an official stance to how picks are determined.
