Everyones had one of those times were they accidentally forget smite and end up feeding there ass off or just being a nuisance to your team should we just. DC once we notice that we forget smite because if we do it will save everyone the hassle and the extra handicap on there team so should we just leave?

Would leaving like that put you in risk of being dropped into the Low Priority Queue? If so, while it would be rather considerate of you to do so for your team, I don't know that it would be advisable to do it too often.

If you're in a situation where you cannot leave and take the penalty, you can always consider trying to jungle without smite (which is admittedly rather difficult now) or playing as a duo top lane. It depends on the champion you are playing, as some champions are too weak in early levels to jungle without smite, but others can manage it with only minor difficulty. As far as duo top, start with one of the support items for gold income, and keep an eye on the top side objectives. It's less than ideal, but is still a perfectly winnable situation.

If you are in ranked, dc. If you aren't, just buy the support item that fits you the most and duo top.

That enemy top laner is gonna be tilted beyond belief.

You can share a small amount of CS with your toplaner, until level 3 (i wait until 4) then go into the jungle.

ive seen both good and bad of this. I have had one forget smite, stay top till level 2 then go off to jg and gank as much as possible. they can get gold and can help their team. they just get the experience loss of the jg. so yes they get behind but then they are really gank reliant so it can turn out good depending on the champion

I've won 2/2 "recenet" games when jungler forgot their smite.

One yi double top with me with lots of roams from either me or yi. The other one I supported sej through lvls 1- 3 in the jg.

End game result: we all say "fk smite in the jg"

I've won games where I forgot to grab smite. It really depends on your elo. As with me, you're silver 4. The enemy jg most likely isn't going to be good enough to punish you for not taking smite lol. You just have to set up a lot more if you're going to try and take dragon or baron. And you have to have competent laners who can win/go even in lane so your lack of ganks isn't that bad. So, as with all other games in lower elos unless you're smurfing, it's pretty much luck lol.

I mean, it's your choice.

You can choose to take a bullet for the team and eat the leave+loss so that the team can remake, but it is your decision to make.

Personally, if my team was being nice about it I would likely take the fall. But if my team was trying to pressure me into leaving I would likely stick around and just do my best.

No don't DC. It will put you on leaverbuster. You will be counted as an negative player for leaving games and will qualify as having disciplinary action levied against your account.

My friend and I had this issue once when we queued together in ranked, he was jung I was top and he forgot his smite. So instead of just going jung anyway, he stayed top with me for a few levels and together we made it so my lane opponent couldn't farm at all, after he got lvl 3 he left lane and started farming the jungle. We won that match.
