I'm 98% sure I could rob a 7-11 and never get caught. It honestly doesn't seem that hard. I could get a gun and a mask, stake out my target, and clean out the cash register during off-hours.

Does that mean my country's entire justice system is broken?

This is a horrible example. When I report someone the system knows exactly who I report and Is supposed to review them for toxic behavior in the chat logs.

Then imagine any person present in the shop at that time can report you to the police, and the cops will automatically get all your personal data and a recording of your crime. If that still doesn't get you punished, then yes, the entire system is broken.

It's not a perfect analogy by a fair margin, I admit. I couldn't think of a good analogy to a real-world example.

The point I'm trying to make is that you can't fairly cite "I'll rape your family" as something that isn't punishable. Just because somebody got away with it, for whatever reason, doesn't mean that it's a specific hole in the system. It just means that somebody got away with it.

Honestly, I try not to spend too much time ensuring that the people I report get punished. I just report them and then move on with my life. Any more care than that, and you're just giving them more power over your emotions than they deserve. Let the small-dick nerds express themselves in the pathetic fashion of transgressive flaming all they want, their existence is still sad and needn't influence yours any further.

Did you say this and you didn’t get banned? You have no way of knowing whether someone is issued a chat restriction, time ban, permanent ban, or some other punishment - the pop up does not always appear and will not necessarily appear for everyone who reported the behavior.

I reported people for saying other stuff but yah reports work if it's warranted. Im sure he'll get a ban eventually it will say your report contributed to a punishment.

It depends on tons of factors like previous history of toxicity, use of extreme toxicity/harassment/spam, overall behavior along the course of hundreds of games, number of valid reports, if reported when saying that, ....
