Intentional Feeding

Hello, I've been practicing league recently in normals and have found I'm playing a lot better than I used to, and I more often than not win lane.

I've jumped into ranked to improve it and test my skills, however I've encountered two intentional feeders on my team in the last 10 games, making those particular games near impossible wins.

The games are:

  1. http://matchhistory.oce.leagueoflegends.com/en/#match-details/OC1/173514093/201601632?tab=overview Our Xin Zhao

  2. http://matchhistory.oce.leagueoflegends.com/en/#match-details/OC1/173806991/201601632?tab=overview Our Morgana

I figured these players would be banned and that I would receive a notification of this in the client, however the notification never showed.

I never encounter this behavior in normals, and it's quite frustrating in ranked when you're trying to rank up. It makes the game far less enjoyable.

Is it possible to:

  1. Enforce a punishment on these particular players to potentially reform them (and notify me)
  2. Have stricter punishments in ranked games to prevent this behavior. The behavior isn't great in normals either, but it has lesser consequences as it doesn't affect your rank, and it's more of an experimental game mode
  3. Have some LP recovery for those affected by similar behavior in any game

It's important everyone tries on a team. If we lose because we were trying I get feedback on why we lost, my performance, and how to get better. When someone intentionally feeds, gives up, afks etc there's less clarity on that, and no opportunity to come back or carry. I've come back from several games that have looked hopeless.

Yeah better report Vayne for boosted acc and sharing like this guy said. I had to fight my way through bronze and silver into the gold, and now in my next game maybe come some boosted account with no skills for this division (i had a lot of players in my quee who are not deserving their current divisions) and riun my game, or yours..

Boosting has become powerfull these days. Like i said, i had to fight and learn about this game form bronze 3, and i still have to learn alot, it is always better to spend few more hours (if you have the time) than to pay a booster and get into desired division.

For Xin i cant be sure. Most of his deaths are on your side of map.

Morgana didnt int feed for sure. She got demolished by Vayne who is boosting that account. U can see he won all games lately and his summoner spells changes positions and his champion and his performance. I suggest u report that Vayne for boosting and sharing account. Dont blame it on poor Morgana

Check it out, someones boosting him out of bronze :)

Talked to someone at Riot. The feedback on player reports is random - you don't always get the feedback due to privacy issues which I highly respect.

If you want to see harsher punishments for this kind of behavior in ranked (or rather decrease the frequency and impact of intentional feeders) however this website / board system is the place to post your feedback and suggestions.

I'd like to suggest:

  • The offender loses all their LP and is banned for a single day (or 36 hours). If they're at 0LP they drop a division.
  • The losing team receives a lesser LP drop (3-5LP). Promos loss isn't counted (potential to be abused - but unlikely). Will never drop a division.

I think this is justified since the intentional feeder is likely on tilt (give them a cooling off period, and some reflection time), and it will reduce the temptation to act out in this way. The winning team gets a reasonably free win without their time being wasted, and the losing team isn't massively affected by the behavior - however they had a chance to carry and influence the behavior regardless (albeit a very small one).

Post your feedback on this board or create your own.
