I've basically muted everyone and have not talked in the past 2 and a half months and am still unable to climb out. I don't understand why the most basic honor level is dependent on other people honoring you? Like shouldn't being non-toxic be enough for honor level 2. Except they expect me to suck these fuckers' cocks for honor points. Not talking should be enough to get level 2.

Chermorg2 votesThe honor system is designed to recognize honorable behavior. If you are reported validly, your honor progress can slow, up to the point where you may not be progressing at all if you are getting a level of reports that is barely below that which is necessary to be punished.
Furthermore, getting honors from your team is certainly not necessary to progress, but you will find it quite slow without getting any ever. It should not be your goal to not talk in chat - good teamwork, including good interactions in chat, is honorable. While it’s not dishonorable to not chat, it certainly would help to show you are able to and willing to have polite, helpful conversation with other players in game, and that’ll likely also result in more honors for you.

My point is that Idk how they expect to keep calling me a dishonorable person when I'm not in confrontations with anyone in game? How can the first honor level be dependent on other people and having them think you're a polite great person? It's understandable for any level above two. But I can't see how being non-toxic is not the requirement for level 2 or level 1 or whatever level it is to not be in the dishonorable bracket.

Dishonorable by definition is being toxic. Therefore, if you don't talk you're not being toxic. Riot can literally judge your non-toxicity by seeing that you don't talk to your teammates and therefore nothing bad can be said about them. Honor level 3 and above are for people others like playing with. But the most basic honor level should be reserved for those who aren't toxic.

Seems pretty toxic to call someone who doesn't act toxic "dishonorable". Maybe make a level 1 for those in between.
And reform doesn't include telling your teammates how great they are. It's about not being toxic, what are you even talking about?

The alternative is you are being validly reported for the times you do chat, and/or for something else.

Next preseason they are getting rid of blue essence completely and the only way to get anything is game is to give riot all your money! great game!

This is the direct result of YOUR system, you are the ones who wanted to make it so that any person with a negative attitude will be punished. You wanted to force positivity out of players who are in already negative environments/situations in game? Alright fine, have it your way. No reason for them to talk then is there? If there were a set list of words to avoid or clearly defined things they aren't allowed to say, maybe they wouldn't be so afraid to speak. However, that's not the system that is in place. The players who know that even if they say nothing inappropriate and do not insult someone, they can be banned for simply remarking about another player's ingame play or even mentioning that someone on their team is ruining the game by breaking rules. They do not know what they can say, so they say nothing at all. Don't like it then get a better system.

It is not hard to avoid punishment. I utilize chat in every one of my games. I don't get punished. If you are a decent person and don't try and blame everyone for everything, it's really easy to not get punished but still use chat.

The point of being dishonorable is to punish toxic players no? How come a formerly "toxic" player must go above and beyond to be considered non-toxic rather than by just being non-toxic? You basically have to be more than not toxic to be considered not toxic. Doesn't make sense.

How can you get time off for good behavior if you never demonstrate good behavior? Positive is more than the absence of negative.
Regardless, as long as you aren't being negative, there's no risk to your account. You just aren't able to get the rewards for being positive. There's nothing wrong with sitting at neutral.

When have I mentioned good behavior? I'm talking about behaviour that signals you aren't toxic. But someone you're called a "dishonorable" person for not getting in confrontations with your teammates? Like if you're neutral why don't they call you a neutral player and not a dishounorable one?

YerroFever1 votesThere are other ways to be dishonorable besides chatting... AFKing, Inting, Trolling, ping spamming, etc... non verbal dishonorable behavior keeps you in dishonorable too, not just dishonorable chat.
