Positive Thinking is a Lie and a Threat
It's time that somebody spreads this news. Positive thinking is one big business scheme and it can ruin your life. Riot is trying to condition you to expect positive things, but every time you do, you probably get disappointed by reality. Anyone recently felt frustrated? I don't know about you but from my point of view frustration seems to be pretty high right now.... everyone is burned out and plays this game without real enjoyment....but for some reason we still keep trying. Positive thinking has only 1 single goal. Make you consume and make you dependent on the source. It's supposed to make you more receptive for advertisements and whatever Riot promises you. This was never about teamwork, having postive expectations and denying your real situation makes you delusional and not competitive. You should never expect success without working for it.
Riot has gathered huge amounts of player behavior data, they claimed that they did this to fix toxicity, well no, all they did was enforcing positive thinking for the reasons I mentioned and they punished you if you dared to express any negative thoughts. Riot is perfectly fine with sucking your souls out for money and the reality of the game proves it. It backfired completely Everyone can see that the game appears to be more casual, a lot of player experience the frustration. But objectively it's balanced. The real issue is the toxic positive mindset that Riot implanted on purpose, while claiming that it would "fix toxicity". If you ever wondered about Riots hypocrisy, this is it.
Unrealistic expectations is also something commonly found among gambling addicts. It goes far enough so that players will completely forget themselves and defend Riot, shaming everyone who tries to criticize them. Riot turned balance into chaos, not on a technical level but on a social level.
And let's be perfectly honest here, we all feel like the game is just a gamble, everyone is saying it. I think it's obvious.
This whole positive attitude propaganda completely destroyed a balanced game. Objectively it is still balanced but we can't make it work anymore because Riot cares more about making us receptive to what they are saying.
Riot has to take responsibility for this and stop abusing their players, this includes esports. Because even esports is mistreated, the unrealistic expectations of players makes them turn against each other. Low elo hates esports. Pro players suffer from the insane pressure. Faker and Rekkles cried? Oh what a convenient drama to make more money by selling it to the blood hungry plebs. But Riot doesn't care at all. They will keep telling you that they are looking into "increasing the players agenda" even though they stick to their positivity scheme, but you will believe them because you have been trained to believe.
The ironic part is that this kind of marketing backfires towards Riot, they feel unappreciated too. They enforced this toxic mindset and now no matter how hard they try they will not succeed in making the players or themselves happy.
If you feel the need to bash me for this opinion, then this is the ultimate proof for Riots success. You have been conditioned to defend them.
Riot Games has perfected the way to make money from civil unrest. It has always been part of their philosophy, hence their name.
