recently I have the feeling that afks, wether techinical related or ragequitters, I'm not sure, are becoming more. I'm playing around mid to high silver and just wanted to know if anybody has been noticing this too or if it's just me trying to make excuses for beeing stuck in my elo.
Today the client crashed twice (of course by the time the repair function finishes its job, the game is over) and I uninstalled. I will probably install the game at some point to try the Aatrox rework and the next champion releases, but there are always some "bugsplat" errors, visual glitches etc since the new client introduction... I've talked to other players in my games and they have told me similar stories, but just reloading the game is not working every time - there is no pause function and by the time you are back to lane, you have probably already lost - not to mention people 1shotting you when you are lvl 3 and they level 8 or something - witnessed this yesterday - the guy probably regretted that he reconnected (ofc, I didn't kill him, because I too have technical problems sometimes, but my team told him that they were "punishing him" for being afk...)
It's because of 2 reasons:
happens this time every year when school gets out. kids get on when they shouldnt and people goof off for the hell of it.
strategy to fight it is to play with friends as much as you can... but dont expect evey game to be perfect. some things will be out of your control... and its best to not let that stuff bother you because there is literally nothing you can do about it
