My god. Probably the most annoying thing to play against. I wish league of legends actually gave worthwhile rewards to people who play one account- instead its just long queue times. It really punishes and makes the experience of someone learning the game awful. It makes the skill disparity between players in the lower brackets so noticeable. I am not saying it is something that is preventing me from climbing. Its just an awful experience going against someone who is very seasoned, and I believe adds more toxicity to the already toxic vat of the solo queue.

Again I don't think that smurfs prevent people from climbing. Its just so detrimental to the experience of having good competitive games. Solution? Reward people for continuously playing one account. Maybe adding swag after achieving diamond like t shirts, hats, and other swag. Having ip rewards after X amount of games played continuously on an account. Having individual champion ladders in the game that show individual mastery on a champion.

Nothing wrong with smurfs, it's called Alternate accounts, but there's a few problems with them:

  1. I only see one reason for them to make a new account.... running out of refunds for useless runes/champions they don't like.

  2. Instead of yelling at them, we should be thanking smurfs for keeping new players away, thus killing the game for the people who are tired of Riots bs balancing/champion reworks and ideas and who keeps getting skins, honestly, I am tired of Ekko getting stuff, he doesn't need more stuff, he needs less.

Smurfs/DynQ/Pre-mades are ruining this game. It's harder to win a single game of league, than it is to beat all the Dark Souls games difficulties combined.

Even though I agree with you that playing against smurfs is extremely annoying, I do think that having a smurf account is ok, as it can give you many benefits/advantages. Maybe Riot could add a function to new accounts that asks if you have a main account, and if so, they can give you the appropriate matchmaking rating based on your actual account. It's just an idea but I expect that most people are going to ignore if they're making a smurf accoung, irdk.
